We have stayed at another Hotel Zaza property and had a wonderful experience in a large, beautiful room, so we had anticipated our stay at this hotel highly. Unfortunately it was very disappointing. The pool area had dirty bathrooms smelling of urine and the fountain wasn't working. Our room was *tiny* - barely big enough for the bed. The bed was a full, not a queen as advertised (yes, we measured), likely because the room was so small. The bathroom light switch was on an outside wall so far from the bathroom door that there was no way to turn it on from inside the bathroom, meaning that you couldn't use the bathroom at night without disturbing your travel partner. Our room's only window looked out onto a wall and another room's balcony, both of which were so close we could have touched them. The front desk staff was quite dismissive when we had a small problem with one of our keys. The only positives were that the bed was comfortable, our room was quiet, and the room service staff was excellent. We will not be staying at this hotel again on future trips to Houston.
