Disgusting
The indoor water park was absolutely disgusting. There was hair and dirt all over the ground. The water in the pools was so cloudy, you couldn’t see the bottom. The whole place needs to be power washed and bleached.

Stayed here for a family Christmas party for one night. Water park for the kids was wonderful. We requested that all 4 rooms be close together (all separate reservations, too) and that was accommodated by the professional hotel staff. Location directly on Houghton Lake was beautiful, even in the winter. Hotel was clean and nicely decorated for Christmas. Bathroom linens were plush and abundant. The king bed was firm and had high quality linens on it. Breakfast hours and selection could be improved with offering some kind of protein such as eggs and sausages. The carb-laden breakfast was not healthy and the hours of 6 to 9:30 am was too early for us. We had a great time overall and would definitely come back here.

The only thing that was bad was their pool and hot tub did not work. That was one of the main reasons we stayed there. We did not get a discount on the stay either. Over all, i love this hotel. It was my 3rd time staying there.

The room was very clean we stay at this hotel a lot it has a lot to do with the water park and the restaurant and they take pets so it's awesome

Terrible and expensive.
The balcony was so filthy, moldy, covered in old spider webs and bugs it was unusable. The first room we had was trashed from the previous guests and not touched. Our next room had a bathroom sink that was plugged and unusable. We were able to use the water park for the one day we were there. We asked for new color bands for the next morning, the day of check out and we were told no that we couldn’t use it and it would cost an added $15 per person. This was on a Monday and absolutely no one was there. We were told no to the water park the morning of checkout after all the problems we had. Paid 395$ to stay for less than 24 hours with a trashed room, no sink in the next and was told no to the water park because we were checking out that day. The woman checking us in and out was rude and made us feel like we were bothering her with the issues and questions we had. I’ve never wasted so much money in my life. Never again.

The balcony was covered with spiders ....looked like it hasnt been cleaned in months!!! All "5" lounge chairs at the water were broken....again ONLY 5 chairs!!! The room cleaning staff were terrrible we had on 2 towels for 2 people all weekend. They never replenished any toiletries or towels!!

The view was really nice and we had access to Houghton lake. The staff was nice, especially the front desk clerk, because he was able to switch our room from garden view to lake view.

Some of the best hotel beds I have ever slept on! The kids loved the pool/mini water park. Breakfest was ok, coffee was great. No complaints, would come back for another trip.

This is our second or third time visiting this resort and we really enjoy it there. Upon arrival this time we were informed that our request for the first floor would not be honored. We had requested the first floor due to my husband being deaf and he feels more comfortable on the first floor. Upon entering a room, the room seem to be very clean, but the balcony on the other hand, we could not even enjoy it. There were so many spiders and bugs in cobwebs out there that we couldn’t go out there whatsoever. It would appear that the balcony really needs a good cleaning, and to be power washed often.

We have stayed here a few times its consistently fair and there is a bar with good food attached and is in an excellent location to hit a lot of ORV trails from.

Good time
Much better than our last stay! Staff was great & allowed us an early check in. There were hairs from a previous visitor in the bathroom but otherwise clean. Pool ran out of towels but were replaced in a relatively timely manner. The fitness room was not available.

This place is a favorite! The view of the lake is just beautiful. Rooms are nice and the bed was really comfortable! Kids love the water park. It’s also very convenient having a restaurant and bar right in the hotel.
