A group of boys fishing on a small pond in Xam Neua, where we explored some of the cave buildings that were used as shelter during the indiscriminated bombing of Laos--part of a secret fight by the USA during the Vietnam War.
Laos is, officially, the most bombed country in history.

With more bombs dropped here than in all of WWII, it forced some of its communities to build entire cities inside complex cave systems, where people lived and tried to carry on with their lives for almost 10 years--a titanic task, considering that, in average, 2 tons of bombs per person were dropped in here.
