"Arrived late at our stay and then realised that we had in fact booked for the weekend after! Disaster after a 6 hour drive and very little options. We apologised and explained the error to our host. Amazingly and also luckily the host immediately went to work setting up an alternative glamping pod for us to stay in. The place was immaculate, hosts are extremely friendly and everything about the trip was perfect and as described. We will certainly be returning."

"The cottage is a bit tired but well equiped, clean and comfortable. The instructions to find the key were terrible! it says get them from a key safe padlocked to the front railings at the front of the house and they were at the back, attached to the house. Google maps cannot find the address so we followed the instructions given. It mentions a car show room that it is not there anymore (a convenient Tesco instead). "plenty of parking, room was very smart and clean furniture was lovely, iron and iron board was on the landing out side if needed and a room fan... extra teas and coffees. breakfast was good. except mushroom had been cooked with herbs and tomatoes could been cooked long. other than that all good throughout"

"The whole place is spotless and really well run by kind and helpful staff who were very attentive the whole time. Being in an old building, the amenities were not the best, the room had a very sloped floor, which made me feel a little seasick! And the bed tilted because of this, I had to prop something under my mattress so that I didn’t roll out of bed in the night! I had a lovely bath but equally due to the slope it felt like the water would tip out if too full! My room was right next to the lift so I could hear that lots of times but it wasn’t too disturbing in the night with the sound of the fan which I switched on in the room. The dinner was absolutely delicious, I was really impressed, and 10% off for guests staying . Breakfast was not so good, the cooked breakfast was not very appealing (lumpy scrambled eggs, dry hard bacon) and the buffet breast options were very limited, but it didn’t dampen my stay too much. The staff were really so lovely. All in all, it is a lovely hotel and I’d probably return but might request a room that doesn’t slope/isn’t right next to the lift!!"

"We had the most wonderful stay at Bude on the Beach while celebrating our anniversary. We were so pleased to be surprised with a room upgrade, which made our stay even more special. When we got to our room, we found a lovely handwritten anniversary note waiting for us – such a thoughtful gesture that really made us smile. The staff were fantastic throughout our stay. Every single person we spoke to was warm, friendly and genuinely helpful, and nothing ever seemed too much trouble. It’s those little touches and the excellent service that really set this hotel apart. The location is unbeatable, with beautiful sea views and just a short walk to everything Bude has to offer. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy a few days away. We honestly couldn’t fault our stay and we left already talking about when we would return. Thank you to everyone at Bude on the Beach for making our anniversary so memorable. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel and can’t wait to return!"
