"AVOID. Difficult to know where to start. This apartment was mis-sold, as it is student accommodation (10 bedrooms per flat). Each guest has shared access to the common room, housing the kitchen and sofa. On check in (after a long on-line book in process (crashing server)), the common room was inhabited with other guests, who were cooking tea. The bins were overflowing and the place generally stank. "The apartment was absolutely stunning. Beautifully furnished & so much natural light from the huge windows. The sea view was beautiful & looking out over Drake island & Plymouth sound was amazing. "A glorious stay in room 412 which for us (couple and 4y/o on a sofa bed) was absolutely perfect. Double balcony with the most wonderful views, well proportioned room with everything we could need and a very nice touch of a complimentary welcome Salcombe Gin & Tonic in our room! Parking was convenient with the porter parking for us and was handled quickly and efficiently. The pool facilities were beautifully clean and tranquil and enjoyed especially by our daughter on the child permitted hours. Food and drink great too and friendly restaurant staff - would highly reccomend this hotel. "

"Good hotel whose dated appearance masks the facilities and staff helpfulness. Our room (18) was spacious and well equipped. My only complaint was no table at "my" side of the bed yet had the single and double been moved to the left one could have fitted. It makes a nice change to order the cooked breakfast and have it brought to our table."
