A very pleasant surprise. Comfortable, good size room was very clean as was the rest of the property. Pleasant helpful staff and excellent buffet dinner. We would definitely return and would recommend to others.
Happy staff, efficient, cheerful. Amazing dinner prepared by resident chef, best meal we had in Iceland. Love the pool as well.

the hotel was booked for Holmavik, but was actually 20 minutes away up a mountain instead of by the water. The room was cold (radiators didn't work) & mosquitos were in the room. The bathroom was downstairs from the bedroom - also very cold. Breakfast and dinner were good (dinner was extra, not part of the reservation).
Hreint og notalegt. Bara töluð enska ekki íslenska sem er skondið. Morgunmatur fínn og kvöldverður mjög góður og öðruvísi. Sundlaug á staðnum. Gaman að vera svona nálægt náttúrunni.
Nice, older hotel in the countryside.
PROS: Wonderful, buffet style dinners allow you to try multiple entrees. Clean grounds and rooms. Friendly staff. Nice pool.
CONS: Door handles hard to work one-handed.
The setting was unique and staff were friendly and helpful.

Worth it
Wonderful staff and property in nice location with simply furnished rooms. Nothing fancy but fit our needs and loved the hot pot! Dinner and breakfast were excellent.
We made a special drive from GilsfjordurArts to see the Socerer’s Cottage and were thrilled to be able to book our Hotel stay at Laugarhóll on the same property. The location is beautiful and the service wonderful. The food was delicious and we had the best night sleep of our week in Iceland so far. Thank you!
Very welcoming owners. They made a vegan meal for my wife and gave us an extra heater for our room. The hot pool is free if you're staying at the hotel and it's amazing. Nice remote location. WiFi only in the common guest room which is actually pretty nice.

The hotel was very clean, with a wonderful heated pool and friendly staff. The hotel is situated in a beautiful less often visited part of the country as well.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Laugarholl. The accommodation itself was clean (recently renovated) and comfortable. The location is excellent - remote but easy to get to, surrounded by beautiful Westfjords scenery with an historic spa pool right next door! We had a very tasty and filling Evening Meal and breakfast and the staff were super friendly. Finally it's good to support this establishment because of the hard work by the owners and staff who represent the local community.
