Holiday Beach Trip

Photos look much better than in real life, the actual hotel is not very up to date, upon entrance to the actual room there was a distinctly unpleasant smell in the room, not fresh at all. Some other aspects were a complete turn off as well, which will not be mentioned here, but I wish I knew before hand.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and cozy!

Good location. Pleasant personnel. Clean. Basically a fine place. I share a few details about my stay. I had a small room with a small refrigerator and safe. It would be a challenge to share. Water for $7.00 a bottle in the room and no housekeeping. You can ask for clean towels at the desk. Be sure to read the detailed information. There was a daily fee (activity?) of $29.00 per day for a few hours of coffee in the morning, beer for a few hours in the evening and some games/puzzles on the main floor. My room looked out at another building where I could see open work space with PCs and desks. If I were there on a weekday, I would have had to keep my curtains closed during the day. I was told that if I wanted a room in the front of the hotel I should specify so.

Beautiful historic building, restored and updated. Stylish lobby, happening bar scene (but unheard on room floors). Large stylish rooms. Easy walk to all downtown PDX atteactions.

Lovely comfortable spacious room. The checkin was quick and easy. Staff were courteous. We would recommend staying there again if in Portland.
