We booked a room on the front of the building and the view is amazing - I would recommend one of these rooms - our whole stay was fantastic, views amazing, rooms lovely, friendly staff, The hotel is a easy walk along the seafront to the town, where there is access to food / restaurants / bars , clothes, hire companies, boats to the other islands etc ….

Perfect location. Just a short walk to all the shops and restaurants. The beautiful beach was just 1 minute walk and it was nice and quiet at night.
The room was large , bright and airy with a good size bathroom.

Had a lovely week long stay with my mother who has mobility needs. All staff were very helpful and friendly, the breakfast buffet had a huge selection and a the Spa and pool are lovely. I definitely hope to visit again. Was very easy walking distance from town and sea front.

Castel Clara is a truly stunning hotel in one of the most beautiful locations we’ve visited. The scenery is incredible, the atmosphere is wonderfully peaceful and relaxing, and it was the perfect place to unwind for a couple of days.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful before and throughout our stay, arranging our shuttle, bike hire and restaurant reservations with ease. The food was excellent too – we enjoyed two fantastic meals and a superb breakfast.

Had a lovely stay in this small hotel in the centre of this pretty village/town. Super view over the harbour and out to sea. No hotel parking but car parks nearby, both opposite and next door but one. Hotel was very clean and modern inside and owners friendly and helpful. Many restaurants to choose from in the town but our favourite was La Maree Douce opposite which had a great atmosphere and plenty of lovely places to sit. We enjoyed our stay very much and would certainly return.

Location opposite main rail line was excellent -although had safety incident with car which local police handled excellently
Worse aspect of stay was the constant bad smell of damp in our room
Otherwise good

This is a relaxing and comfortable stay, we stayed five nights and would definitely go back, the staff were exceptional, always on hand without being irritating, as we have found with some high stared hotels, they genuinely want you to have a nice staff. Perfect location on the beach with good parking and a supermarket 2 minutes walk.

We stayed for 8 nights and were pretty happy. Our room was probalby not the best room they had (front door was just outside reception and the back windows looked into the restaurant), but we didn't spend a lot of time there. It was quiet and a good base for exploring the Golfe de Morbihan. Our kids enjoyed swimming in the (heated) pool. We ate at the brasserie on the first night and have to say that the service was unacceptably slow. But we ate there another night and it was fine. We didn't eat...

Very friendly and hospitable staff who made us and our two small dogs very welcome. The hotel is charming, clean, and comfortable. The views are absolutely stunning - sitting on our terrace, or on the breakfast room with its picture windows, and looking at the magnificent ocean was wonderful. It's a short and lovely walk along the coast to restaurants and then a bit further to the centre of Batz-sur-Mer. Highly recommended. We'll definitely be back!
