"The location is perfect. Convenient access to the excursions we did while there…few minutes drive or walk. The grounds were clean, however some construction happening adjacent to motel. But never heard disturbing noises during the evening. We will be going back here in the Spring! "

"After we checked in, the front desk clerk walked us to our room. everyday we had a bag of croissants on our door everyday. That was a nice gift. Not much for breakfast. Only toast, bagels and cereals. Limited drinks only draw back. If they had a full breakfast for the price of the room would make it a great place."

"First time in Dunnellon and we loved the town. Great southern country vibe. We were here to kayak the Rainbow River which I highly recommend. This was a great place to stay and I would do it again. I was looking for a sign that said Gator Den Motel but there is none. I drove past the Blue Gator and had to go back because that’s the place. Not sure why the name discrepancy. It’s on the main highway through town and right beside the Withlacoochee River. The room was very nice and clean and the bed was very good. Just a walk across the parking lot gets you to the restaurant/bar with mostly if not only outdoor seating. It’s a great country vibe with a great selection of food and beer. I enjoyed the two meals I had there very much. I arrived around 8pm on Sunday evening. Earlier in the afternoon I received a call letting me know they were expecting me and I needed to go to the restaurant to get the manager to check me in. That was a great bit of info that kept me from wondering what to do. It all went smoothly and with a friendly welcome. It’s a small motel with rooms facing the parking lot and a highway right beside it but none of that disturbed me at all. It was a great place to stay. "
