Excellent location, very convenient to all the Black Hills attractions. Very comfortable. Owners, ( George and Jocelyn) were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Loved our stay there and hope to return.
I was prepared to give a nice review of this property but that all changed today. I received an email about me being a "liar" about having a dog with us in our room and was told I would be made "famous" on face book for being a bad guest. First of all,I do not even own a dog, secondly we left a day early to find another motel were we could actually get some sleep without screaming and excessive noise from the room above us. So if you are looking to step into a strange distopian environment run by a lunatic,by all means this is the place for you! Just remember to leave your imaginary dog at home. I know I will be promptly called a liar by the owner which is just another fun perk from our stay.
It is a really pretty area but the buildings are outdated and in rough shape. The owner is really strange, he came banging on our door at 9pm when my family was in bed accusing us of making too much noise. We were all in bed with the lights off, I really had no idea what sparked the late night angry visit. When he saw we were in bed he said we must have just stopped jumping on the beds. The walls and ceilings are paper thin and we could hear other guests walking and talking, I'm guessing he just went to the wrong room. It was a jarring experience, and every time we saw him after that he would give us dirty looks and scowls. They also only take cash for the ice we needed to buy. The free "breakfast" was really cheap (one option was two cups of instant coffee, lol). I wouldn't go back
