They didnt have the aircondition room orded. Got a dark room with only one light, and the train tracks 10m away. Nice and helpful people,

Bra läge med nära till allt. Ligger väldigt nära järnvägen så tågen hörs tydligt. Det står att det finns wifi men det stänger ner det under perioder.

Dårlig standard.

Når vi ankom hotellet, hadde ikke eieren fått bekreftelse på vårt opphold fra hotels. Vi ble etter mye om å men plassert på et rom som skulle defineres som en suite. Aircondition fungerte ikke og takviften hadde ingen effekt på det ekstremt varme rommet. Kjøleskapet fungerte heller ikke slik som det skulle. En plastikk kran som var i dusjen ramlet av og vannet sprutet ned hele badet. En veldig hyggelig eier, men hotellet innfridde ikke til de forventningene som bestillingen gav. Vi byttet hotell samme dag som vi ankom.

Clean hotel with easy beach access

Clean hotel on the Main Street of Hikkaduwa, the room was clean and the hotel staff was very friendly. Perfectly suited our needs of beach and shopping.

Basic but ok

Ok for the price paid but there are a few things that could improve. Would be good to have fly screens. And a kettle in the room or de clutter and ride up the kitchen so guests can make tea and coffee and a simple breakfast.

YKD Tourist Rest Hikkaduwa

Perfect location for us in hikkaduwa, on edge of town near railway station but 15 minutes walk to all beach bars. Great location if your not 18-30 as everything close but not too close. Fabulous beach easily located just across the road.

Hotel położony w bardzo dobrym miejscu, blisko plaży. Mieliśmy mieć apartamenty z widokiem na morze, jednak tak naprawdę przed hotelem YKD stoi jeszcze jeden hotel, który prawie całkowicie zasłania widok. Mieliśmy mieć dwa pokoje, dostaliśmy jeden mniejszy, drugi większy. Większy pokój bez zarzutów, natomiast w mniejszym pomimo wiatraka (klimatyzacja raz działała, a raz nie) można było się ugotować!!! Pokoje czyste, choć trochę głośne ze względu na to, że hotel położony jest przy głównej ulicy. Plaża obok hotelu przepiękna, w wodzie przy brzegu wielkie żółwie.

Nice rooms, nicer people

The rooms are basic, but at a very reasonable price. The owners were really friendly - after an initial problem with our room, they moved us very quickly and were very friendly in doing so. They also offered a very reasonable price to do our laundry for us, which was really useful. It is walking distance from everywhere in Hikkaduwa, and there are also several options for excursions outside of the town (e.g. Lagoon).
