"Great stay at Hotel Takimoto. Had the all inclusive package which included all food, alcohol and snacks. Snacks/soft drinks/beer were available all day. Food was great, varied and presented well in a nice dining setting. Staff were friendly and helpful. Ski/snowboard hire included too. Ski boots and skis were of good quality and newish, however snowboards were not good. Lovely hotel with big fireplace and marshmallows to roast. Great place to relax after a day skiing. We had a family 5 bedroom room which had 2 separate rooms (2 single beds plus 3 tatami mats in another room). Location at Takamagahara was excellent - central to all the ski areas. After some initial issues with our booking, hotel Takimoto came good and we can happily say we had a fabulous stay and can recommend"

"The private onsen in our room was highlight of our stay. Staff was the best, everyone were helpful and efficient. There is a free shuttle to the snow monkey park. "

"One night was definitely not enough! Clean room, great amenities, a wide variety of delicious buffet options, and three relaxing hot springs. I did notice a comment about one of the baths, which I understand, but the water quality was still excellent and very soothing. Special thanks to Mr. Kakumoto for his friendliness and exceptional service truly went above and beyond!! I'll definitely stay here again when I'm back in town. "

"Very clean and great service! The whole place is bean-themed which is very cute. Every part of the welcome snack and breakfasts had some kind of bean. They also have very nice free homemade drinks. Your room also has a chocolate bean snack which is really yummy! There’s a private toilet (no bath) and sink in your room, with plenty of private baths available on the first floor. Love that the bath water is sourced from Yubatake - very silky. Bath amenities and toiletries were also amazing, and you can wear the provided yukata (limited sizing) out around town. So you can actually pack fewer clothes for your trip!"

"Excellent weekend get away"

"This was by far my greatest stay so far in japan. Amazing food, amazing building, amazing onsen! But westerners be wary, you will need to sacrifice some of your typical understanding of amenitys, theres no showers in the rooms, and very little english is spoken in this whole town. That being said i cant rate it less than 5 stars! If you come to this hotel, be prepared to eat (amazing) foods you never thought youd try, and immerse youself in the japanese culture. If you do not want to immerse yourself, this may not be the place for you."

"Clean rooms and great service. Some staff know some English and if they dont they will try their best to help you. Food was excellent! Be sure to get their breakfast and dinner! The onsen was relaxing. "
