My partner and I stayed here for a weekend break, and we were both very happy with the hotel. From the friendly and welcoming staff, to the little extras in our spotlessly clean room, everything exceeded our expectations. Dinner was excellent, and the cooked breakfasts were agood way to start the day! We would highly recommend for anyone looking for a weekend away.

Our stay was very pleasant. Exceptionally friendly staff, particularly Sarah, who always went above and beyond to satisfy our every need Bedroom was a tad small. Food was excellent, with a really good variety to choose from. Breakfast in the Pullman was very different and most enjoyable. Will definitely stay there again.

Great pub with abundant outside space in the separate garden spaces. Food was amazing

The whole experience of our stay was first class. We have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation to anyone. A special thank you to the hosts David and Pumpkin!

Beautiful location and stunning grounds. The hotel is very cozy and homely. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to returning.

Had a lovely Halloween stay in Burley, such a great location in the New Forest. Really appreciated the friendly staff, lovely welcoming bar, and the superb Halloween decorations which really set the scene and mood.

We had a lovely stay. The staff were all brilliant and will definitely return

Best hotel I've ever stayed in! Picturesque location, lovely staff and impeccable room with an impressive roll top bath for 2. I highly recommend you make a reservation at the restaurant too, delicious food!

We were blown away by how friendly and helpful the staff were, every single one of them , I would highly recommend here and will definitely return , food is amazing , so much choice and large portions , we absolutely loved it .

Lovely spacious comfortable room, very clean and beautifully quiet. Tea and coffee supplies locally sourced where possible as were a lot of items on the menu. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast at the hotel and really enjoyed everything. Bar well stocked with an excellent range. Attentive lovely staff, who know how to be in stealth mode and not interrupt while you’re in full swing of conversation. Alas the weather wasn’t so cheery but it’s a great spot for getting out and about for a walk, and we...

Excellent all round. Lovely room, hotel, very good service, location and breakfast, friendly and helpful staff/owners. We would definitely stay there again. Highly recommended.

Excellent value for money friendly greeting on arrival, breakfast freshly made Lisa who seved it was so polite.

We arrived to a very warm welcome with one of the staff carrying and escorting us to our room, through out the stay was excellent as all of the staff were very professional, smartly dressed and the hospitality and very polite people. The room was comfortable and warm, there room staff was very helpful to offering us fresh towels on the next day. We did not stay for any breakfast as we had plenty things to do and explore the New Forest Treasures as we had never been down those necks of the wood...

I had a lovely stay this weekend at The Retreat. I was expecting a single room as I was a solo traveller but was pleasantly surprised that it was in fact a double bed with a very large ensuite (both a shower and bath). The room was a pleasant temperature, with only slight noise from the road (I had the window open for fresh air but at night the traffic is limited anyway so not an issue). There were tea and coffee facilities and shampoo/shower gel available. The room is accessed via a key code...

Staff were amazingly helpful and we very much enjoyed our stay.

Never really write reviews but maybe that goes some way to show how impressed I was. Staff feel as though they care about the place and in a world where customer service in hospitality is struggling it was so refreshing. Will definitely be back next time I have to stay in the area. Food was excellent for the price point.

We were made to feel very welcome the moment we arrived until we left. Lovely quiet location. Breakfast was a real treat with a wide selection. Excellent gluten free choices available. We shall return!

Had a lovely stay in this apartment . It was excellent. Very very clean and comfortable, with everything you could need and a lot of little extras. Just a couple of steps over to the clifftop in Barton on sea. Would definitely stay again.

Fantastic property located within a very relaxing setting, all the staff are very friendly and can’t do enough to help!, rooms are very clean and spacious can’t sing the praises of this place enough will most definitely be staying again!!
