Higashisoen Trip

"I have stayed in 12 hotels on this trip, and this is the friendliest, with the kindest staff. I needed an extra pillow and they brought it to my room within a few minutes, they got me a taxi for my bus out of town, they had better then usual English understanding and treated me very well. "Hotel is near Beppu train station, is clean and has plenty of toiletries at the hotel lobby, so you don’t have to bring your own toiletries if you’re not fussy. "Room wasn’t clean - dirty bathroom mirror and toilet. Bedsheet had some stain. Overall the location of the hotel is very convenient. Right next to train and bus stop and lots of restaurants. Hotel staffs are very nice. NO ONSEN ON SIGHT. Beppu is known for its public / local onsens so go try those!"

"Room was huge and the mattress was first-rate. Staff were exceptionally helpful. The entire property was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was varied and delicious. It was just as advertised."
