Divya Sutra Plaza and Conference Centre, Vernon, BC

"As per a lot of the other reviews, I was genuinely surprised at the cleanliness of a room at the price point of this hotel. The bed was comfortable and clean, the water was hot, the TV, AC and fridge worked. We couldn’t have asked for anything more at the price we paid!"
"This motel was convenient and fairly priced. However, the staff was not there - until summoned by a bell. They took my credit card and kept the receipts/slips laid out on the counter. The door had an old school key lock. The place was very run down, not particularly sound proofed - lots of noise from people upstairs and the highway. There was quite a bit of trash spilled out over two parking spots (an animal got into a trash bin? Maybe wind knocked it over?) No one cleaned it up over the two days I was there. There were only four rooms occupied and it frankly felt kind of weird/spooky. Though clean, it was very old, and out dated. The safety door lock was broken an not operable. Otherwise, the TV worked fine. The bed was comfortable. The fridge and microwave worked fine. The A/C worked, but was loud. It was pet friendly which I really appreciated"
"Overall my stay was okay, the staff were really nice and helpful. I had a great sleep during my stay, the beds are comfy.
The room itself was disappointing. Staff had to come in and clean the filter in the bathroom, and replace a set of bedding due a cigarette burn on the top sheet and a weird reddish brown splatter stain on the comforter. Staff replaced it as soon as they were made aware of the concern.
The coffee machine and microwave looked brand new, the rest of the kitchen items were strewn about the bottom part of the cabinets. The utensils were spilled over, nothing was organized.
The kitchenette is a 26 year old Woods compact unit from 2000. The freezer has rusty hinges and there are drip marks on the shelving.
The staff were awesome when i had an issue, they provided me with a fitted sheet for the mattress. I did notice the mattress protectors are very worn down and the straps were broken for one of the beds.
The room looks like it has handy patchwork everywhere, walls are discolored in different spots.
There were cigarette burns on the plastic sea shell dish and there's a leftover dispenser frame on the shower wall with calcium build up.
