Hickory Bluff Trip

The rooms were decent, and upon arrival they were clean. After that, we had a difficult time getting the room cleaned again during our stay. I waited all day for the staff to clean the room. When it was not done by 4:00pm I talked to a housekeeper in the hall who told me to call 822 (i think that was the correct number) and speak to the staff. I did and requested it be cleaned. After almost 2 hours I went to the front desk and requested again that it be cleaned. They said they would send someone up to do it. At 8:00pm i asked a housekeeper in the hall if I could at least get 2 towels, which she kindly gave me. We went to bed at 9:00pm as we had to catch a shuttle at 4:55am to the airport. At 9:30pm housekeeping showed up to clean the room. Sorry,we are now sleeping. A bit disappointed. Also, very smoky. Although its not allowed in the rooms, it seems to drift up from the casinos. The big bonus is its location. Right in the heart of it all. Easy to walk to lots of the surrounding areas.

Good location! Fair prices! And a nice pool! Rooms were clean.

Did not like that we had to rent a bed at the pool and on top of that spend a required $50.00 on food/beverage. Twice. Need more free chairs! Other than that, our stay was excellent. Better than I expected.

We were here for chess tournament. Property had less 2nd hand smoke issue than typical strip properties. Overall ok. Refrigerator in the room wasn”t very effective but other than that no issues.

This hotel is not the same as it was prior to new management. I won't stay again.
