There was a gas leak and we had to leave at 11pm and find another place to stay . I would like a refund . Hotel agreed to refund bc fire dept came and all. Expedia needs to give me a refund because we were only at the room about 2 hours

Linda and Kayla were the absolute best. They were very kind and helpful throughout my stay. They were knowledgeable about the surrounding area and provided excellent recommendations. Not only that but they got me extra coffee for my rooms coffee machine, and helped me with my television when I had trouble with it. I was very comfortable here and they made it even better!

The women at the front desk were friendly and helpful when we checked in late at night. In the morning, the hot chocolate packets ran out and when I asked whether there were more, the woman in charge offered me some from her own office, which I really appreciated. My only complaint is that the only extra blankets available for the hide-a-bed are thin and scratchy. Another Holiday Inn Express we stayed at on this trip gave us a thicker blanket, same as on the regular beds, and I think that should be standard practice for all hotels. We did not stay long enough to enjoy the pool. but it looked as though the pool area was big enough to have a hot tub added, but did not have one yet. You may want to confirm that with the hotel before booking, if that matters to you (as it normally does to us.)

Would definitely return. Loved our stay. We went for the indoor pool, however, the heater was broken and it was holiday season so the maintenance tech was unavailable. We will definitely call before visiting though. Thank you

Could not understand a word. The guy at the front desk said, and he didn’t even try to make it where we could understand him. He kept saying that my card wouldn’t work which made absolutely no sense because I paid for the room months ago we literally had to sit in the waiting room in the middle of the night for quite a while to get anything, resolved until I finally said, I was going to leave and that I was going to have to have my daughter drive us three hours home who is a high risk pregnancy right now was not happy. horrible service, horrible experience. It was not resolved until the next morning when the lady working at the front desk said that she would take care of it, and not to worry about it.

Glad we stayed here
We are really glad we stayed there. My wife had looked at the rooms of a couple of hotels in neighboring towns and decided against staying there, but she was thrilled with our experience at the Hiawassee Holiday Inn Express.

Was a nice and comfortable room. Very Friendly guest services. Especially the lady that checked us in. She took the time to go over everything even with people waiting behind me. Love the mattress casings also!! Great protection from bed bugs.!

When I arrived the safety lock did not work on the door, the outside access did not work my Tv was broken the next night and the maintenance person had taken the week off, if it had not been got Kayla and Amanda who repaired and replaced these items I would have been very upset. They and the other ladies made my trip there pleasant. Thank goodness got such employees.
