"Communication was grudging at best, there was no one there to receive us and no information folder. In consequence, we did not have the front door code or the lock box code to get the beach club cards until hours after we arrived and I had bullied the driver that picked us up at the airport into helping me. Bob was great! The property is amazing and we enjoyed it tremendously. The area has lots of restaurants and convenient shopping. Rent a golf cart, it made our lives so easy!"

"The Vacation Club unit was modern, beautiful and very clean. Staff were all very friendly. AC and water pressure were great. No stove in the studio unit, but a dishwasher and large refrigerator was in the unit. Beds can be improved a bit, but overall ok. There is close to the units secured self parking as well as valet parking included with the resort fees. They will automatically charge daily resort fees ($38 per night) which allow you to use the Marriott Resort pools, beach toys and amenities and get access to a resort onsite eco tour which I highly recommend and the smores at night. Beautiful large pool at resort and plenty of beach chairs. Great golf course too. No whirlpool community spas in the facility and if you get the studio unit, you have a communal free washer/dryer in the 2nd floor which were great. Not the most beautiful beach, as sand is dark and lil tyke small rocks, , but very calm and a short walk from unit. The nearby town of Herradura has markets, restaurants and shops nearby if you wish to save money. As everything in the resort was expensive. However, the food was pretty good with American food options available for those that want that comfortability away from home. Overall, a lovely resort."

"The Oceano is located right in the middle, so it is walking distance to anywhere in jaco. The staff is more than helpful, the breakfast every morning is amazing because it is locally prepared. Parking is easy and has security 24/7. The rooms are clean and spacious with the best beds in business. I've been staying there since 2019 while at the beach."

"The property was going thru a little bit of a remodel but that did not stop us from having an amazing time. The staff was great, and catered to anything we needed. It was right on the beach and was amazing for sunsets. Even when we had a situation occur which forced us to stay for a few extra days, everyone was very accommodating and made our challenging situation easier to deal with. Highly recommend."

"This hotel is very beautiful, but something to keep in mind. The food and beverages from the restaurant are very over priced. Just as an example a glass of Prosecco was roughly 22-25$ (USD) which is enough to just go out in town and buy your own bottle. Also, the breakfast for just my wife and I (buffet breakfast) cost us roughly $70 USD. The breakfast selection was basic and not impressive at all. We basically wondered what we paid 70 dollars for when we saw our choices. The property is beautiful and the service was amazing! Please keep in mind it is in the jungle so you will hear jungle noises at night. Which is to be expected and honestly I thought it was pretty neat."

"I traveled here alone in early September. The property was beautiful! The rooms were very clean and modern, and the proximity to the beach was amazing. The property is secure - I felt very safe there. The food was incredible, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. I hope to come back with my family soon!"
