"This hotel is brand new and beautiful. The color scheme is soothing and tasteful. Our room was so comfortable. The fitness room had everything I needed for a great workout and cardio. It was near lots of restaurants."

"Fish property is an older property but it's well kept. It's fraternal water so you can take a pole and walk down and try to catch a fish when you can catch any but we had fun trying. This is a bargain for the money The room was $76 and for that price I didn't expect for the guy. It was an excellent visit"

"Evidently the rooms had recently been renovated, so they are in good shape. The shower was strong and invigorating. The breakfast was good (biscuits were hard, though). The major knock on the place is that the layout is old-school, that is, the rooms all open to the outside - no interior hallway. We’ve had bad experiences with motels configured like this, so we were a little tentative in staying here. However, no issues occurred during our stay!"

"The hotel is a well equipped and maintained facility in a small town. Staff members are friendly and efficient. I don't like the Marriott set up with only part of the bath area being private ( doesn't allow for one to arise and not disturb traveling partner)."

"Friendly staff. Comfortable bed, good complimentary breakfast. Breakfast lady was very nice, kept the buffet well stocked and found me a banana-thank you! We usually stop in Gardendale but after our last visit there ( a disappointment) decided to drive into Athens. So glad we did. The Hampton Inn did not disappoint. Right off the interstate and close to the infamous Buc-ees. "
