"Parking was easy and cheap. The front desk staff was friendly and very informative. The aesthetic of the entire hotel was on point. The lobby, hallways and room were exceptionally clean for my standards. The beds and linens were so comfortable. We stayed during the week so the environment was quiet and laid back. The fitness center was very up to date and clean. The pool area was very nice even though it rained most of our trip. The courtyard area was adorable although we didn’t utilize it. We had our young child with us and didn’t get to take advantage of the restaurant on site but the menu and ambience looked amazing. There was also several nice turfed areas for our little one to run around and play, one with hammocks. We did stay in a double room and not a train room due to this being a last minute trip but the husband and I are planning on returning for an adults trip. We ate at several restaurants around the hotel within walking distance and took advantage of some of the fun things around the hotel area within walking distance. "
"My stay at The Read House was outstanding from start to finish. The hotel beautifully blends historic charm with modern comfort, and the staff made every part of the experience welcoming and enjoyable. The rooms were comfortable, the public spaces were stunning, and the location made it easy to explore downtown Chattanooga. One of the highlights was taking the haunted room tour. Even if you’re not a believer in ghost stories, the history behind the hotel is fascinating and adds a unique dimension to the experience. It was both entertaining and memorable. I highly recommend The Read House to anyone visiting Chattanooga. Whether you’re interested in history, architecture, great hospitality, or a little mystery, this hotel delivers a truly special stay."
"The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The guest rooms were uniquely and nicely decorated. Parking was is a negative as it is available in a garage that requires a QR code for access and costs $20 a day."
"We recently stayed at the Residence Inn Chattanooga Downtown, and overall, it was a fantastic experience.
The staff was phenomenal from start to finish. Everyone we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. Chastity at the front desk was especially exceptional. She greeted us by name and provided helpful information during check-in that made us feel immediately welcome and taken care of.
Our suite was spacious, comfortable, and well-suited for our family. Parking was easy to navigate, and the location was excellent for exploring downtown Chattanooga.
There were only a couple of issues that kept the stay from being perfect. The couch in the living room area of our suite was torn in multiple places and showed significant signs of wear. It was also extremely worn down, to the point that when you sat on it, you practically sank to the floor.
The other issue was a device mounted on the bedroom ceiling near the bed. It appeared to be some type of detector, separate from the smoke detector, and throughout the entire night it emitted two very bright flashes of light approximately every 10 seconds. The flashes made it incredibly difficult to sleep. Traveling with a toddler, getting good rest is especially important, and this was unfortunately a significant disruption.
That said, it was otherwise a wonderful stay. The outstanding staff, comfortable accommodations, convenient parking, and great location made for a very enjoyable visit."
