This is clearly a property that mostly services foreign tourists, so people looking for a more traditional Japanese experience might be better in a quieter neighborhood, but this is a clean, modern, well-kept place right in the heart of Shinjuku that is very affordable. This does mean that you're located in the "entertainment district," so some of the nearby establishments are meant for adults only, but it is perfectly safe. The staff are very helpful and, for better or worse, they actively expect guests not to speak Japanese. Breakfast has both Asian and Western offerings, and the internet is easy and fast. Shinjuku Gyoen, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, and Godzilla Road are all within a few minutes by foot.

How can an hotel of this category cost usd 309 per night for a triple room? Barely any room to move. Overall, it is overpriced for a hotel of this middling quality, even for Tokyo standard.

"Close to the airport, free shuttle service, great amenities, location, wide rooms, etc. Front desk staff was kind and accommodating. I know that’s part of their job but showing kindness to another human being is a luxury these days. I will still choose this hotel for my next Japan trip. 😁"
