"The apartment was not properly cleaned at the arrival and therefore i was offered an one day cleaning package, but the cleaning never found place. Furthermore is not specified that the building has no elevator, and carrying heavy luggage to the 2nd floor was uncomfortable. The surroundings are not ofering a safe environment, as the building on the other side of the road was hosting a facility/restaurant for drug addicted persons. "

"Oberdeck is in a great location to explore Hamburg. It’s very close to transport, restaurants, and some great coffee. The apartment was compact but very clean and well equipped. The balcony is a great space. Our only issue was how hot it was upstairs in the bedroom even when it was cool downstairs and outside. A fan is supplied but it was still uncomfortable. The roof top deck is lovely. We would definitely stay again. "

"Great hotel but how can they have a gym which is out of access to anyone with a physical impairment or a fear of heights. You take the elevator to the fifth floor, then take an very open staircase to the 7th"

"Convenient location by the river and Reeperbahn. The room was spacious and really clean but there wasn’t a kettle or coffee machine provided. When we asked for one they told us there were none available to offer. They did offer to make us tea and coffee on request but that was inconvenient because you have to request via their chatbot or physically at reception. We utilised street parking and there’s a charging station right outside the hotel. Would be nice if there was access to the bar level for views outside of their opening hours. Nevertheless it was a nice stay for one night."

"We had a lovely weekend stay at Tortue in a Grande Double Room, which was very spacious and included a comfortable sitting area. The bed was comfortable, although the pillows were a little flimsy. The bathroom was on the smaller side, with a shower over the bath; and the towels felt quite thin. The décor throughout the hotel is stylish, with a dark and moody atmosphere that we really liked. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming, and the complimentary drink on arrival was a nice touch. There were a couple of minor drawbacks. The air conditioning was quite weak, so we needed to open the windows to cool the room down. Unfortunately, our room overlooked the main street, so it could be quite noisy with traffic. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the breakfast. I don’t say that very often, but it was exceptional. There was a great selection of à la carte dishes, all freshly prepared to order, and everything we tried was of superb quality and absolutely delicious. The breakfast service was good too - friendly, efficient and attentive. My partner particularly loved staying at Tortue, and overall we had a wonderful stay. We would definitely come back."

"The front desk person wasn’t super friendly and we were supposed to get a bottle of wine with our stay which we didn’t, but other than that it’s a great place to stay . The room was comfortable, good breakfast, and the washer/ dryer were sending us messages when the cycle was done :) good experience overall"
