"While Atlantica is a fine hotel with friendly and helpful staff, it is not a "tourist" hotel in terms of location. We initially assumed we could walk downtown and to the boardwalk. A helpful front desk employee disabused us of that. Getting around Halifax from the Atlantica pretty much requires a car. Once we got accustomed to getting around by car, the hotel served its purpose as a clean, well-serviced accommodation and we had no complaints whatsoever. If someone wants to be located in the waterfront action, on the other hand, this may not be their preferred hotel. Other hotel clients we met included conference attendees, families wanting to be close to people in the nearby hospital, and parents visiting university students."
"The hotel was okay but, for the price point ($350+/night) we expected better. Noise travels through the walls easily, bathrooms were dated, nothing special about the rooms. Glad there was a small fridge."
"Great hotel in a very convenient location. Clean spacious rooms, good amenities, friendly staff, and the food in the restaurant was great. I would stay here again."
"The rooms are very minimal. At first, I was a little apprehensive, but it was a lovely stay. The staff is amazing, the property has a cool vibe. It was an overall great stay."
