The Grand has definitely seen better days but overall I enjoyed staying there. My room was beautiful and the bed was very comfy. The Hotel is a little way out of Hailsham, being on the A22 meant it was very easy to go out and about from there. We also visited the Devonshire Park Theatre in Eastbourne which was excellent and had a fabulous day at Brighton Races.
