Checking in was disappointing and the staff were unhelpful and seemed to be chatting and laughing with friends . The rest of the staff that we met were friendly, helpful and warm. The rooms were lovely and breakfast excellent. However we thought the hotel had a bistro which it didn't and the bar never seemed to be open. A snack bar would be a good addition

Lovely hotel. When we arrived we found our TV didn’t work. A room swap wasn’t immediately available, but we were given a free breakfast in compensation and the next day we were able to move to a superior room. All done with absolutely no fuss. Everything here was very good, and it’s only a short walk to town.

The hotel was absolutely lovely! We were warmly welcomed by the people who work there. They answered all of our questions about Haarlem. The rooms were very clean and cheerful as was the rest of the hotel. It just had a very nice, warm, clean vibe about it. I also liked the location as we could venture out to different parts of the town and easily find our way back. We were also able to walk to and from the train station. It’s a 10 minute train ride to the beach and a 20 minute train ride to Amsterdam city center. Very convenient!

Handy for the town centre but lacked tea/coffee
I enjoyed my stay at the niu Dairy Haarlem. It was close to town and an easy walk to the main square. I appreciated the early check-in (for a fee) which freed me up to explore the city on the day I arrived. The late checkout time of noon meant I had time to come back and shower after parkrun the morning I was leaving. One thing that was lacking in the room was tea/coffee supplies. There wasn’t even a kettle. The windows don’t open so I had to keep the air con on all night as I like a cooler room.
