El Indio Guarani, a statue of an local chief, immortalized and at the topmost park in Guaranda. It's a fun hike up from the city center and can be accomplished in a couple of hours. Lots of houses to see along the way and the view gets better and better as you go higher and higher. Well priced budget hotel. About a 20 minute walk from the old historic central, but we took a walking route down stairs that avoided traffic. The old town itself is beautiful with murals and restored colonial buildings.

Room was clean. Not the best, not the worst place to stay in Guaranda. Customer service needs to be improved. I only stayed one night, for that, it served very well. Will book again if needed. my rate 6.5/10
