The bathroom was dirty and still had hairs in there from the prior guests, but other than that the visit was great.

Awful stay due to group of guests partying upstair
Booked this hotel for a romantic trip with my wife but a group of kids had booked a few rooms and decided to have a party in the room upstairs until 1:30am… Nightmare! Mentioned this to the hotel staff in the morning but they did nothing but offering a 3 Fr mustard as compensation (there was noone at reception from 10pm so nobody could have got the party to stop). Terrible place, noisy, awful service, one of our most terrible stays ever…

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was nice just too small even for one person. I ate at their restaurant both nights i was there just because the fondue was excellent and the service was fast. The hotel is located right next to the entrance to the old city and also right next to the bus stop. If you go there by train, like me, dont walk if you have luggage, it's all uphill. There is a bus that takes you from the train station to the Gruyeres ville, one stop.

Great Location
The location was excellent, close to the old village, but quiet and separate. The staff were kind and accommodating. The room and bed were a bit small, but the overall experience was very good.

Gruyeres is an amazingly beautiful area. We understood the age of the hotel might prohibit Air Conditioning but it was OK. The help up front was new, I'm hoping all the figures are correct with the reservation! Such a beautiful city and valley!

Great Place to Say in Gruyeres
This is our 3rd time staying here and we love it. We had a room with a balcony facing the meadows and mountains and loved it. The location and convenience cannot be beat. We hope to return soon and highly recommend this hotel.

Great location for Gruyères and getting the bus to / from other places. Hotel and rooms clean and tidy but a little dated, this can add to the charm of the whole area though. Amazing views across the mountains from our room. Staff friendly and helpful.

My daughter and I loved this hotel. The view from the bedroom balcony, restaurant and breakfast room are just beautiful! - we could see the chateau, church steeple, mountains, fields and a herd of deer from there! We loved the rustic feel of the hotel. The food and the wait service were fantastic, and the front desk staff were so friendly and helpful! The restaurant is known for its outstanding fondue made with local ingredients. The hotel is literally 1/2 block from the entrance to the village of Gruyères, a small gem of a town that sits up high on the hilltop. This is a very special place and hotel! :)

The hotel was charming and located slightly outside of the town centre, so it was nice and quiet. Gorgeous views of the mountains all around. Our room was very clean. The breakfast was surprisingly generous in terms of options (quiche, croissants, homemade breads, yogurt, cereal, etc.).

Charming hotel, great stay!
Reception was very nice & helpful. The hotel is lovely, charming and clean. Comfortable bed, kettle and mini fridge provided in room. We stayed the end of June and a fan was provided which was nice due to no air cooling. Our room, on the 2nd floor, had a view of the mountains in the back of the hotel and was very quiet. Limited electrical outlets for charging electronics, not a criticism, just an observation. Easy access to bus drop off and peaceful location at the end of the town.

Adorable!! From the amazing view out my window to the wonderfully nice people at reception this is a must stay if you come to Gruyeres! Room was extremely clean. Bathroom has a nice deep tub. Splurge and get the Mountain View- its amazing. The woman who does the breakfast made me the most wonderful cappuccino. Walk to the little town and castle in less than 5 minutes. Only 10 minute walk from the train (or take a bus). Would definitely recommend!

An adorable hotel with excellent views of the Swiss countryside. It was just off of the main streets of Gruyere and the room was cozy and comfortable. The on-site restaurant was also the BEST place in town to get an authentic fondue.

Lovely little hotel with beautiful views
Staying at this hotel while we were traveling through Switzerland was quite enjoyable. The location to the old town of Gruyere was so convenient as well as its proximity to the cheese tour. The property views are stunning and the hotel bar/restaurant is lovely. The one complaint i have is that the rooms are Very small. Smaller than any I have ever stayed in when visiting Europe.

Fantastic views and amazing ambience. They even have a sauna and steam room you can reserve for an hour. It was amazing. It is very, very clean. We feel so lucky to have found this place. Walking distance to the castle and cheese factory and the chocolate factory is near as well.

Beautiful and charming hotel
Everyone was so welcoming and warm to us throughout our stay. The room was charming and opened up to a beautiful scene with reindeer grazing below and the castle in the background. Steam room and sauna were a great addition after a long day of walking around. Highly recommend!

Plenty of parking and walkable to all places of interest in Gruyeres. The man receptionist was very helpful. The family room is in fact 2 very spacious rooms, with a private corridor that can be locked. A chair was provided in the bathroom.

what a quaint and cute hotel, loved our stay, both rooms were excellent with balcony/view of land. GET the breakfast! best option in town, no other place to eat except other hotels that only offer hard eggs/bread. Awesome check in, info, parking and cutest town ever. Did the cheese tour and drove 10 min to chocolate tour. Book this hotel, it's cute, and excellent gym if want.

Pros: Good location, nice breakfast, bathroom is clean. Cons: I booked a room for one person. The room was so small. Furnitures were old but this could be part of the hotel’s style. Spider nets at the room’s corners (this is not justifiable). No AC in the room, weather was nice so was not big problem, however, when I opened windows at night, I had few flies and mosquitos in. Check in process was not the best. I arrived at 2:30 pm, the front desk staff told me that room is not ready and asked me to come back at 3:30 pm …( most hotels in Switzerland allowed me to check in between -2 pm though).
