"Very nice place. Newly renovated bathroom. Helpful staff. Breakfast was excellent. The common areas are well done. We enjoyed sitting there, reading next to the fireplace. We also liked the location - Next to a river and grocery stores to get snacks around the corner. "

The insides were a little old-school, but that is part of it's charm. The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff was very helpful, and the people at the restaurant were fantastic. "Explorer Hotel Berchtesgaden exceeded our expectations. The rooms -- with all having an amazing view -- provides a very efficient use of space. The breakfast buffet is outstanding -- offering an array of delicious items. And the service staff was top notch. And you can't find a better location to the popular attractions. Bus line 840 and 843 is a quick 10-minute trip from the Berchtesgaden train station. And the boat ride and Jennerbahn are 1 and 2 bus stops respectively. If you are an active person who wants great accommodations and easy access to the attractions of Berchtesgaden National Park, you will be hard pressed to find a better option. "
