"We stayed at the Maseria Santa Lucia for several days. Our room was entirely built with tuff stone and very stylishly furnished. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The reception gave us excellent restaurant recommendations. Breakfast was very plentiful, coffee variations were served according to our wishes, and the selection of cakes was fantastic. The Maseria has a pool and a spa. Unfortunately, the spa can only be used privately for 1.5 hours for a fee of €100."

"We had a lovely time. Our room was very charming, only the bathroom is a bit dated but we loved our room overall. The staff is super friendly with the exception of Giuseppe, cranky old man hanging out in the lobby around breakfast time. He is rude and yanked the tax money out of my hand at checkout. Location is absolutely perfect for this hotel. If you stay you must eat at Kaive Restaurant only a few steps away. Mind blowing experience there."

"We loved our stay at here. Hotel is in a great location with an amazing view on the ravine and the oldest part of Matera. Restaurants in walking distance and well placed within the city. Staff was SUPER helpful, even helping us through a crazy situation when our rental car was almost towed from the free parking because of a misunderstanding about when it would close for the city to mow. Thank goodness their shuttle driver was there to translate the situation to the police! They even offered to pay the ticket we got since they had suggested this parking (not knowing that the city would be closing it to mow). Breakfast was great with a variety of options from proteins to pastries. The only thing I would suggest to the hotel is adding a dehumidifier to each cave room. There was a bit of a musty smell in the room and it was quite humid making the linens feel almost damp. I’m sure this is normal for a cave, but I do think a dehumidifier would help! Beds were very comfortable and ac worked well. Overall a fabulous stay!"
