"about a 10-minute walk into town, and we enjoyed dinner at the on-site restaurant. The hotel was clean and well maintained overall. Unfortunately, our room had a gross stain on the headboard. I asked the staff the following morning to have it cleaned, but when we returned to the room, it appeared to have been barely cleaned, if at all, or the stain simply couldn’t be removed. I mentioned it again at checkout, and while the staff were apologetic, no further action was taken. Hopefully, it was cleaned properly before the next guest arrived. Overall, a good stay, but the cleanliness issue was disappointing."

"We stayed at Northwinds Basecamp for 2 nights. The facilities were clean, and the room was well stocked with extra supplies such as tissues and toilet rolls, which was a nice touch. The location is convenient, close to Canmore town, making it easy to get around. Two complimentary bottles of water were provided upon check-in. However, when I requested an extra bottle during our 2-night stay, I was told that it would cost $2.50 per bottle. I was quite surprised by this, considering the room rate we were paying. It would have been more reasonable to provide complimentary drinking water throughout the stay. One thing to note is that there is no lift, so guests staying on the second floor will need to carry their luggage up the stairs. Overall, the facilities were clean and the location was convenient, but the additional charge for drinking water was disappointing."

"Room was a cute studio apartment with dishware included. Mine was clear across the property from the pool/sauna, so not the most convenient amenities. Staff was pleasant and helpful, and the gal at check-in even saw I had scrapped my knuckle biking and offered me a band-aid :) Location is pretty good. Stores and restaurants on the other end of the street, and access to pedestrian trails on the other side of the admittedly busy intersection."

"Having stayed on the property recently, I am able to compare both stays. The first time, I love the room. 2 bdr/2bthr suite. Beautifully laid out. My only complaint was the bathtub. It is deep, which is nice, but for people with short legs, like myself, I almost needed a stool to step into the tub. The tub bottom also got really slippery when showering. This time around, yes, tub is still deep, but no longer slippery. Everything about the property is amazing. Views, quiet location, everything."

"It was a good hotel with all of the amenities you would want. However, the maintenance of the property could use some attention. The sink in our bathroom was slow to drain, the toilet had issues flushing, and the pool lining could use some attention to make it look nicer. But the room was clean, the staff were helpful and quick to requests. The kids had fun in the pool and the included breakfast was an added bonus. All-in-all, we would book here again. Oh and the scenery was beautiful!"

Had there been 4 adults the second bedroom needed wardrobe space, but it was locked for storage and cleaning products. Not ideal having to share walk in wardrobe to master bedroom, en-suite."
