"There are major problems with this listing The wellness facilities were all unavailable during our stay. It was not made clear that we would be charged for electricity and water. The amount we had to pay was iunbeluevalbly high, adding half as much as the hotel fee on top, plus linen charge. We could not use the jacuzzi, as it was filthy,; we did not use the sauna; we turned down all the radiators as we bought logs for the fire. So, it is difficult to see how the energy bill for our actual use...

"We had a lovely time at Alter Meierhof. The room was big, clean and had everything you need including water and coffee free of charge. The reason I am only giving 4 stars is because of the Spa facilities. The only pool you can swim in was really cold and the 2 steam baths also didn’t really work as we thought it would. But if you want a private massage or facial treatment, I am sure this is a good spa."
