Ants nest

Foam mattress in a plywood hut. Infested with ants and bugs. Inaccessible Road. 45 min hard slog to main road. Not a hotel not a guesthouse but a kind of hostel or backpackers place but hotel rates. Took more money than expected from card. Trying really hard to find something positive to say. Even the taxi driver couldn't get up the dirt track to the place and had to carry luggage up the steep hill

From the day before I arrived, I tried numerous times to get in contact with this property owner to ask information about checking in and access. The contact number on Expedia was attached to a ex member of staff that left over a year ago, that this started to ring alarm bells. I was worried whether this guest house was genuine and if I would be able to get last minute hotel/ guesthouse if I couldn’t access. Luckily Expedia managed to get in contact with the owner to alert him. When we arrived there, we had to ask another guest the contact info so that we could access to go in. Access to the property was very dark, and had no lights heading up to the guesthouse, so had to use our phone light to open the combination lock on the front door. This could be a hazard. The taxi driver also stated that I’m lucky that I got him as other taxi drivers do not like to drive to this location as it’s on top of a steep hill, the roads are bad and tricky to get to. Please bear in mind that, this property is a far distance away from the main road and supermarkets / shops. The property had a lot of large insects and creatures due to the wooden louvres which allows for insects to freely come in. The toilet was broken and had no hot water. I alerted the owner and he sent someone to fix it the next day. It would’ve been nice if this was operating as it should before I arrived.The Property was clean and had a nice view other than this, I would not recommend.

Great little guesthouse

The Manager of the guesthouse gave me an amazing service and helped me with everything I needed. Definitely the best service I experienced. The room is well equipped and very comfortable. The only challenge is the location- the guesthouse is located on top of a hill, and if you have no car you need to walk up and down the steep hill every time you go somewhere. It's about 22 minutes walk up for an average fit person and 13 minutes walk down. But this location also makes the guesthouse very peaceful, and the Manager will offer you a ride down the hill if she makes the journey.

Bug infested and hard to access

All in all a beautiful set up however my experience was not the best. Cockroaches and spiders everywhere including under the bug net at night!! No running water for a night and day and completely inaccessible without a car to drive up the dirt track road up a massive hill. If you are looking to be part of the busy hustle and bustle in Rodney Bay this is not the place for you to stay. Delia, Brian and Irene were absolutely lovely and helped as much as possible however the owners are rude and take a while to reply messages. They refused to give me money back after the bad experience which I feel is unacceptable considering the circumstances.

Cool guesthouse

We have had a fantastic experience by this true guesthouse! Very hight level, very friendly and helpful staff, good wifi everywhere, terrific view. I mostly loved the large garden, open on Rodney Bay, the sea, the sunset. Thanks to everybody, Bryan, Ire, Delia, for this unforgettable stay

GREAT EXPERIENCE

We spent only 4 nights in this amazing place, one of our best holiday experience, and we regret very much for not have had more time to stay. The position, overlooking the bay, a stunning sunset, we run up every afternoon afraid to loose it! The cottage, colonial style, all in wood, no concrete! Delia, the housekeeper, took care of us every day, set up the bed, laundry service, any kind of help and hint! The large garden with BBQ where we had diner the last night with the other guests, cool!! Thanks a lot to everybody
