This is a family-run hotel with friendly staff and amazing views. We don’t normally eat in the same hotel where we stay, but we ate dinner here every night, and the food was great. I would definitely stay here again! Totally recommended!

The room was large and had convenient places to open and store your luggage. The owners and staff are very knowledgeable and helpful with the recreation and trains. They even sent our luggage to our next hotel in another town! The food was delicious and the breakfast/service was wonderful. This is one of the best hotels in our 3 week trip!

Wonderfully hospitable service and excellent attention to detail. The owners were very kind and offered kind suggestions of things to do in the area. The location is perfect as well - right at the end of hustle and bustle of Main Street but easy walking access to everything. Also, we had stunning views of the glacier and peaks from our room! The room was clean and tidy. Furniture a bit dated, but that is a part of the charm. Bathroom was newly renovated and super nice. The room had a lovely and spacious balcony, with a perfect view of the mountains. The staff was very welcoming and helpfull, and served the best breakfast you could ever ask for. The setting is unbelievable, like all hotels in Grindelwald. Our room opened onto a spacious patio with amazing views. The room itself was fine, nothing remarkable about it. During a September visit, we would have liked to have utilized the sauna but we were told it was only open on request during the "summer months." We would have preferred to stay somewhere with more amenities such as a pool or hot tub but we had a pleasant 1-night stay here nonetheless.

It was a near perfect location for our five person Family. I preferred this location because it’s quieter, and it would be impossible to find a better view than the one from our hotel balcony. Recently remodeled room was the size of a small apartment with a massive wrap around balcony. We are definitely coming back and we found the staff to be very gracious and welcoming.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The room was charming and very clean with a balcony looking toward the beautiful Alps!! We were welcomed by the owners and provided with helpful tips on how to experience the Alps from Grindlewald. We ate a dinner and a breakfast at the hotel with excellent service and very nice menu choices. Parking was also available, free, and convenient.

Such a treasure in Grindelwald. My wife and I loved this quaint hotel. Doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles like a 5 star resort (no pool, no ice machine, no fridge but they have a wonderful breakfast in the most beautiful setting & the room we stayed in (34) was perfect for us. The staff was so warm and helpful and we just loved the history and the fresh flowers adorning the outside of the hotel. We experienced ZERO issues and the hotel head would get us ice on request (Americans love their ice) ;)
