"Reception was busy, but helpful once the delay was cleared after about 10 mins. Also on two occassions during our stay we tried calling reception unsuccessfully until disconnected.
We enjoyed the free wine tasting hour with Kies and cannt recall the Friday night winery, but was also enjoyed.
Buffet breakfast was superb, a good selection of fruit, cereals and hot food.(need to update your toasters though, very slow!)
The room was excellent, king bed, fantastic bathroom, with aa very useful nightlight in the ceiling, great view and balcony overlooking vineyards. But we had a child in the room above who sounded like a herd of elephants, constantly running back and forth and either opening and closing the balcony doors or sliding furniture around.
Apity the relatively small gym is l9cated away on a hill near the golfcourse. Also a pity no games / recreation room on premises."
"The owner Sophia was a wealth of knowlege re. wineries, resturants and attractions. Bed was very comfortable, shower needs attention.
Great place to stay close to wineries and town centre.
Highly recommend!"
"Nice hotel in a great location for wineries.
We stayed in winter and the en suite was freezing.
Buffet breakfast a bit disappointing.
Staff were lovely."
"Unfortunately the flicker didn't work for my stove top so had to use a lighter but other than that it was great the kitchen had things to cook and eat with. Also the door to main bedroom isn't lockable so would definately recommend that ."
"Great place to stay. Clean, spacious outdoors & affordable.
However it would be better for your business if the damaged vehicle at the front was removed.
Thanks 😊"
"We had an enjoyable stay it was very clean, good food and the happy hour was great.
Also good location with shops nearby. Was our second time there and we will do it again.
Thank you."
"The Louise is a destination in itself with it's scenic outlook and all-inclusiveness. Everything from breakfast, your mini-bar (everyday), afternoon appetisers, pre-drinks (including cocktails and top shelf spirits) then decadent four-course dinners with matching wines are included. Every night (in winter) turn down service included herbal night teas and hot water bottles left in the bed. Had we been here in summer, we would of made use of the infinity pool overlooking the vineyards.
Being our first time in The Barossa we chose to use it as our "hub" to explore the many wineries from - including Tscharke which is literally across the road. The Underground Wine Tasting is something else and if you get the chance - I recommend you do this tour organised by the hotel.
You will always feel like you have special attention given there are only 15 lodges available here but truly - the staff go above and beyond to cater and attend to your every whim (and sometimes get you out of a pickle). From making sure the day lounge was made into a bed for one of us snorers to retreat to at night - to helping us find last minute transportation when our uber did not show up to take us back to the airport, we were grateful for the wonderful staff.
A special mention to Darcy, Maddie, Ian, Pi, Esther and Deborah.
You have left us with special memories and we thank you!"
