"Our stay at The Maya Mountain Lodge was absolutely wonderful. The place is very cozy, peaceful, and surrounded by beautiful nature — exactly what we were looking for. The staff are extremely kind and helpful, and a special thanks goes to Cesar, who truly went above and beyond. We had unexpected difficulties at the Guatemala–Belize border and arrived very late, around 10:30 pm, but Cesar was still there waiting for us with a smile and made sure we felt welcome and taken care of. That meant a lot after such a stressful travel day. The restaurant food is delicious, easily one of the highlights of our stay. We also loved that the lodge offers several activities, including cooking classes. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and very clean, providing great rest after full days of exploring.
