Lovely hotel - spacious balcony - recommended!
Lovely hotel - room was very comfortable, staff very pleasant. Much more upscale than your usual Greek hotel and a good price. Free welcome drink on arrival - however they wouldn’t allow a G and T which was a shame! Spacious balcony and nice sea view. Would highly recommend :-)

Great accommodating hotel on the beach
We had double booked our nights, sunny bay welcomed to modify our stay and allow us to stay another night. Had a great meal for dinner, on-site restaurant was very good and the breakfast is great as well. Weather was very windy during our stay so the beach was less than desirable.

Quiet beachfront location in Kissamos
Good quiet location right on the beach and a short walk away from all the restaurants in Kissamos. Breakfast and dinner, not too many options but all delicious. Excellent staff friendly staff The only negative is that our room was a little dated/basic and it can do with a renovation, at least to update the bed. The walls are also not that well soundproofed, so your stay might depend on your neighbours.

After this visit this summer, Sunny Bay is and will continue to be My #1. Option every year I visit Kissamos & surrounding areas! The room was very spacious and pristine, the hotel itself/amenities and Family owners & Staff were very helpful and excellent across the board! Highly recommend this place for families, couples or even solo travelers! THANK YOU Sunny Bay!!

The property is close to the town square and near nice restaurants. The beach is at the back of the hotel and also close to many more beautiful beaches.

A lovely stay at a family-run hotel
Great family-run hotel. Quiet area, located about a 10-minute walk from the coastal restaurants and centre of Kissamos. Hotel food very good quality, particularly enjoyed our breakfasts looking out over the sea every morning. Everything you could need in a little hotel: good location to get to Balos, Elafonisi and Falasarna by car or organized excursion, beautiful pool, balcony, comfortable large room with AC, private beach with umbrellas and sunbeds, mini mart with essentials including water and suncream! Lots of space to leave the hire car too. Staff very warm and made us feel at home.

Quite place
Nice quite hotel. A little old but it’s very normal for this small town. Private beach. Not loud. Very friendly staff. They explained everything me around the place. It’s about 10 Minutes to walk to the promenade where you can find restaurants to have dinner. Breakfast is a little poor.

It is a very nice and clean hotel close to the beach and football field with running track (free entrance). I visited the hotel in August 2020 during covid-19 pandemy, I felt safe as they kept the health regulations. Staff was wearing masks and gloves, they served breakfast behind a plexiglass and they ensured safe distancing.

Great value in Kissamos!
We had a great stay at Sunny Bay! The view from our room was spectacular as we could see the entire Kissamos bay. Beach access was easy and the pool was clean and refreshing. We loved the breakfast provided and they did an excellent job of serving the food taking cleanliness standards into account during COVID-19. We ordered food and drinks from the bar using our phones and it came out timely and was very delicious. Highly recommend.

Great Hotel
This hotel is great. The staff are very friendly, everything was clean, breakfast was good! The kids enjoyed the pool. The hotel is close to beaches, restaurants, tavernas, and markets. Will recommend!

Deserves it’s high rating
We have just returned from a week’s stay in Kissamos at the Sunny Bay Hotel. We received a very pleasant welcome from the owners, even though we arrived late into the evening. Nothing was too much trouble, helping out with travel adaptors we had forgotten and even a lost passport (thankfully quickly found). The location is perfect for a peaceful break with the beach and shoreline immediately on the doorstep. The food was excellent, the staff friendly and courteous and the room clean and well spec’ed. Only thing missing was a kettle of coffee making but it’s minor point. Thank you to all at Sunny Bay for making our holiday a delight.

It is a lovely hotel on very quiet Kissamos area with a great food and fantastic host:) All people working there were very nice and friendly, room was clean and tidy with a flat tv and a small fridge. We loved it. If we come back Kissamos we'll go to the Sunny Bay again.

This was a return trip to Sunny Bay. Lovely family-run hotel - the hotel is very well maintained and provides a pleasant stay. The rooms are basic but clean. We stayed in beach front and sea view rooms.

Good hotel by the beach. Close walk to tavernas along the waterfront. Front desk was fast and efficient. Staff very friendly. It is ina great location to explore the western Crete beaches. We rented a car a drove to different ones each day. The are all within a short drive awawy.

Best Location for Exploring Creta’s Best Beaches!
We were here for two nights, and wish we could have stayed longer! The room was spacious and superclean, the pools and entire property sparkling!! The beach sand a little pebbles, but the water is clear, warm and the waves were gentle. Lots of good dinner/evening options a short walk away, and the gentleman at the front desk super- helpful!! We hope to return on our next trip!!

Lovely family-run hotel.
A very good hotel, difficult to locate as the sign was rather faded. We pointed this out to the family owners who showed us the new sign! Very comfortable room with nice balcony, good dining area and excellent choice of food for dinner. The family and their staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Highly recommended.

Wonderful atmosphere amongst friends
A fantastic week at Sunny Bay, the staff really care and this makes the hotel outstanding! Great location, good food, nice rooms and facilities but by far what makes this hotel a home from home are the people who look after you whilst you are there.

Close to it all
Close to the port for the ferries to Gramvousa/Balos, can walk to great restaurants. PIXIDIA restaurant was incredible and by the main strip by the beach. A lot to do that is within walking distance. Hotel staff was lovely and the view was great. Bathrooms could use some updating but the rooms were comfy and spacious enough. Would stay again.

Great hotel, great staff, great breakfast, great overall. Close to all the main tourist attractions by car ( Balos, Phalassarna) highly recommend. They make mint mojitos too- always a bonus
