"The Padre is a nice, basic motel. The Padre’s proprietor, Charles, was very friendly and helpful. He responded to our needs quickly. This hotel is an older building but well maintained and clean. Escalante is a tiny town. You can walk to the few restaurants along Main Street. The Escalante National Monument is just 10 minutes down the million dollar highway, and that is amazing to experience."

"Self checkin via email, sent room number and door code, which was fine. Very clean, nothing special, just a room, 2 beds, tv, fridge, microwave Used it as a place to sleep between hiking adventures"

"The stay was great! Check in and out was easy. Accommodations were exactly what we wanted with pluses to include the warm wood burning stove in the tent and access to coffee early 6 am. We did eat at the site and found the food to be excellent. We definitely recommend UCLP to anyone! "
