This is the second time I’ve stayed here. If you like charm, uniqueness, and antiques this is the place for you. Every cabin is different from the rest and full of charm. We stayed in the railcar, and enjoyed the serenity staying right by the woods.

My family stayed in the rail car and had a wonderful time! I’m sad it was only for one night, but we plan on coming back very soon. There’s so much to explore on the property — we viewed deer, petted the animals, poked around in the clubhouse (book and art room). It is such a peaceful property! The beds were comfy, so we all slept like a rock!

This place is VERY SPECIAL hidden on this beautiful piece of land with animals roaming around. Its so pretty there . I came in late it was dark and hard to find but i called and Helen gave me perfect directions and was so sweet. Love all the little lights and special attention to each spot. Would love to come stay in the railroad car someday. If you want quiet and enjoy country and seeing all the stars this is the place to be. Loved it i will be back

Our stay in this delightful cabin surrounded by pasture, woods, even a little chapel and yet walking distance from downtown was so restful. Such a unique setting and we had all we needed. Would love to go back.

Very Comfortable Cabins

Our Cabin was Great very clean and my kids loved it. We came to visit local area attractions but my kids just wanted to stay on the property. Petting Zoo and many other animals walking the property. Staff and owners were very friendly and helpful with any questions. Great place to get away for two or bring the whole family.

We loved our stay here. The cabin is so cute and clean. The animals are fun to see. It's just a very short walk down to the riverwalk which is great! The only negative I have is there wasn't much light in the bathroom. Hard to see anything in the mirror but there is a vanity in the bedroom with a light. Breakfast in the barn was so cool!! We would stay again.

I loved everything about the property, even the rooster that served as an alarm clock. There was an error in our reservation somehow, but Country Woods took care of us and we were very pleased with our visit. Great location! Great petting zoo! Great everything!

Quiet getaway with family fun on site

This is a wonderful place if you are looking for quiet with good food and activities nearby. There are fun family activities on site. I highly recommend this place.

Great country weekend getaway!

I really like this place. Great cozy place for a getaway. My wife and I found it on the web and went on a whim. Very peaceful place with walking trails, farm animals that you can pet and feed, a playground, a chapel in the woods, and a river walk. The types of accomidations vary from small quarters to entire cabins. Communication with the staff is great. It's secluded enough to be quiet and peaceful, but close to a historic little dowtown with shopping and restaurants. We will definitely be going back.

Descent place to stay

The complex and grounds was great for the kids but the beds were terrible to sleep in and the cabins definitely need some tending to and updated! But the owner was very nice and interested in our stay

Gem in Glen Rose!!!

Absolutely enjoyed our stay.Very quiet and relaxing!Planning to be there back in June hopefully with warmer weather we sure will enjoy outdoors better.

Great, relaxing place to stay!

We enjoyed our stay here very much! We wanted a cabin away from the normal hotel experience and this is what it was. The owners go to great lengths to make the experience special, including having activities around the site for kids and adults. We plan to go back in the future as a small family and also take our extended family as it is a great place to have your own space but gather with family and friends. I wish we could have stayed longer, as it was a very relaxing and peaceful place. Easy drive or walk to downtown and close drive to Glen Rose attractions.

We had a lovely time - just a quick overnight getaway. The kids loved all the animals, and the Carriage House even had a few toys for them to play with! It was stocked with board games & movies for a rainy day, information on local restaurants & sights, and even a birdwatcher's checklist and guide. The beds were really comfortable, and there was room to set up a pack & play for my youngest. Next time we come, I'm looking forward to using the fire pit too!

Great Experience

Wendy was very nice and easy to work with. We stayed in the Saddle House. Wendy let us tour the main house which was really nice. Beautiful setting, close to town. Nice walking trail and view of the river. The animals were friendly and fun to be around.

We had a great experience staying in this place.

The cabin was just perfect for the 4 of us. Everything we need to stay comfortably was there. My family had great time exploring the rest of the property. It was very relaxing and refreshing to stay in this Inn. This is a great place for the whole family to unwind and have a great family times minus all the electronic gadgets.
