Beautiful hotel with excellent breakfast and dinners included. Very clean. Only negative was that smoking is allowed on balconies, which gets into the other rooms when windows are open. Hotel should be fully non-smoking.

Wunderschon - exceeds expectation in every way...
Great location for Hallstatt visit, Gosausee, Dachstein glacier and five fingers - not to mention the multiplicity of walking trails. Wonderful friendly helpful staff - everyone and everywhere. Free soft drinks 24 hrs, free parking, and good fast broadband. Free caffee and kuchen every afternoon. Swim in / out pool from spa open all year, smallish but big enough. And a hot tub... Great indoor and outdoor play areas for kids which are not intrusive. Breakfast great variety and always replenished. Evening meals buffet and a la carte great High Austrian cuisine. We loved it - it exceeded all our expectations. Teaches UK four star what four star should be and beats them hands down. Wunderschon - do not miss out on this hidden gem - go. - the norm for Austria.

Picked the “2 bedroom” room -the room was a slightly larger than average hotel room stuffed with extra beds-over priced in my opinion -the restaurant had 3 entrees to chose from and a small buffet-we went down the street to eat because of no vegetarian options-waiter said they were to busy to accommodate us!!!

Great Stay
Had a great stay/ski trip. Stayed for 4 nights and it was perfect. Very close walk to the ski lift. Hotel is great, the service, food, drinks. No complaints.

Surprise highlight of a 3 week Europe excursion
This was a surprise for us. It wa supposed to just be a one night stop over between big cities. But Gosau turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. The hotel was amazing, one of the best included breakfasts ever! Don’t miss Lake Gosau - Spectacular. And the pizza place at the end of town was awesome as well. The drive to Hallstatt is easy and scenic. Gosau was a nice reprieve from the business of Hallstatt and a must see town and Alps Lake

Amazing hotel for parents with kids of any age
We stayed 3nights and we and our kids (2 and 4) loved it! Beautiful rooms, great bufet breakfast, friendly staff, indoor play area, huge outdoor playarea/playground with so many fun toys and things to do for small and big kids - if it was up to our kids we would never leave the hotel....excellent dinners too. Sparklin clean, quiet, mountain views - we are definitely coming back ( and we live in usa) soon. Hotel is close to many turist things to do: cablecars to mountain tops, saltmine, icecaves, lakes....Highly recommend to families

Happy Family Hotel
Charming hotel with excellent dinner and buffet breakfast. Hotel has lots of great amenities, rooms have been upgraded with modern, mountain style - very comfortable and unique.

RUDE
This is the rudest staff of a hotel I have ever experienced. We spent three weeks traveling Europe in nine hotels, I have never left a hotel in the middle of a stay but did in this case. The hotel is in the middle of a beautiful valley with nothing else. The rooms are decorated in college dormitory style, cinderblock and cheap carpet, no air conditioning which means the window is open to lots of road traffic. Many playgroud activities if you bring your eight year old... luckily we left and found a hotel at the same price overlooking the lake in Hallstatt, which is worth visiting! Bottom line-DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL

Thank you for your comment - we as hotel Sommerhof know that what you wrote is not correct - our rooms - also in the one you was sleeping is newly renovated - just finished in June 2017 We are a hotel looking for family with children - thats why we have a huge playground and a pool area open only open till 7:30 pm that the smaller kids can sleep in time.

Great Ski location.....
This was a great hotel..My wife and I and two kids stayed there for a ski vacation.. Its was great, just a 5 minute walk to the ski lift, the hotel has its own ski lockers at the lift so you dont have to carry you equipment back and forth. The hotel also has a heated pool, spa, and sauna to relax after a long day of skiing.. We will be back next year....

Excellent Hotel
Great place for stay, we enjoy a night stay when we visited Hallstatt. The room is clean, big enough for two. The staff are friendly. The breakfast was one of the best during our two weeks trip in Germany and Austria. Parking and breakfast are free.

A nice hotel in a beautiful area
Location is awesome. Reception very friendly. Breakfast is GREAT. Very close to hallstat and Gosau lake. We weren't there for skiing but the area seemed like the go to place for skiers as well as hikers. Rooms were not modern but that shouldn't be what you look for in that area anyways :)

Great family hotel!
The staff was all very kind and helpful. It's a beautiful area. There were a ton of outdoor activities that families could do together outside. We were impressed. We traveled only as a coupled this time but it made me want to go back there sometime with my youth-aged kids. Breakfast buffet was amazing!!!

Beautiful Hotel
We booked this hotel as a last minute thing but we were so pleased with hotel stay. It's located in Gosau which is very close to beautiful village called Hallstatt. We stayed for 2 nights but wanted stay little longer. Great hotel staffs and the restaurant was good too! We visited during Fall time so the swimming pool was closed but it would be wonderful for summer time as well. Having a toddler traveler, it is always great to see the playground at the hotel. The playground was set up beautifully and the view was the plus!

조용하고 편안했어요. 12살 큰아이라 수영장이 작긴했지만 잠시놀기 괜찮았고 뒷편 놀이터도 좋았습니다.할슈타트까지 10분이라 편했습니다. 조식도 석식도 맛있었구요, 다음에도 꼭 들리고픈 곳이에요. 레스토랑에 영어 메뉴판도 있으면 더 좋을거같아요

Wir möchten uns beim gesamten Sommerhof-Team bedanken. Es war ein sehr schöner, erholsamer Urlaub. Auch das Angebot für die Kinder (Essen, Getränke, Spielplatz, ...) ist sehr groß! Die Zimmer sind groß und modern ausgestattet. Sauberkeit wird im gesamten Hotel großgeschrieben. Die Kellnerinnen, Zimmermädchen, Animateur sowie die Chefin und der Chef des Hauses sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Mycket trevlig personal. Bra bar och restaurang med god frukost och middag. Ligger i utkanten av Gosau med 10 minuters promenadavstånd in till stadskärnan.

아이들이 있다면 추천

戈绍非常美，在看过一堆湖景后处于高山草地中，心情荡漾，泳池超级赞，还有个热水泡泡池和桑拿。记得定半食宿，晚餐不错

Das Hotel ist ein schönes Familienhotel umgeben von Bergen. Es gibt einige Wanderausflugsziele und auch Ischl und Gmunden sind nicht weit.

Sehr schönes Hotel in hervorragender Lage
Wir (zu dritt) hatten vier wunderschöne Tage im Salzkammergut. Dazu hat auch das Hotel seinen Teil beigetragen. Die Chefin und auch das Personal waren unglaublich nett. Unsere Tochter war von der Kinderbetreuung begeistert.

Polite and helpful of hotel staff
Nice place. All the hotel staff were very polite and helpful. However, I felt the pillows and beds not comfortable, as well as WiFi signal is sometimes weak, and it was a bit far from the beautiful town of Hallstatt.
