"We booked the hotel for a one night stay.
The guy at the front desk was very friendly, he explained everything we needed to know about our stay and parking etc.
Breakfast was very tasty and fresh.
Overall we had nog complaints and were very happy with our stay here.

"The property was appropriate for its price point. The rooms were fairly clean but outdated. The landscaping was nice and well taken care of. Unfortunately, after a long day of travel, no one was at the property to let us in even though we arrived during check in hours and we were unable to get a hold of the property manager. We decided to try to get a room at another hotel where the staff went above and beyond to help us contact the owners of this property. Getting into our room should not...
"Unique place to stay! Very close to walk to area with bars and restaurants in an old town feel. Very close to public transportation which we road and very easy to figure out where you are going. Very friendly staff and an older building with lots of charm!!"

"Hotel Brunnenhof is quiet and clean and provided everything I needed for a week-long stay. Abdullah, who takes care of the housekeeping duties, was fantastic. My room had a small porch leading out into the back yard, where there is a picnic area.
One crucial point: The English-language description of the hotel on Expedia has not been updated since the pandemic, and it needs to be. The hotel is now run in a (mostly) contact-free manner and no longer provides breakfast.
In order to get into the hotel, you will need to phone the staff to get a code, which you enter into a lockbox in order to get your key. The instructions outside the hotel door are exclusively in German, which was fine for me (I speak German well) but may confuse other foreign guests.
I do not have international roaming on my phone, and I made the mistake of going to the hotel first before buying a SIM card—which led to some comedy when I discovered I had to phone the hotel in order to get my key! (A local café owner helped out—I highly recommend the Eiscafé am Obertor.) If you are in a similar situation, get your SIM card before you go to the hotel.
Once I actually got into the hotel, the week I spent there was pretty much flawless."
"The hotel was clean and quiet. Exactly what you want while traveling. It was very conveniently located to a grocery store and pleny of walking, running ,or biking trails. It is right next to the Old town of Hanau, which is very nice.
We stayed for a week and the only critique that i have is, i wish it had a little bigger fridge so we could store a couple items in it. Just so we wouldnt have to eat out 4 times a day. Other than that, i would definitely stay ther again. "
"This is a discount hotel, and for those purposes it is very good. if you sleep with the window open, the traffic noise is quite loud, but being from the city, it did not bother me much.
Notes for American tourists. You must contact the hotel in order to check in, and when they say 3 PM check-in, it means 3 PM. There is no staff on site for the most part, but get in contact with the hotel ahead of time and you will be fine. The host was kind enough to give us an extra hour to check out, and the room is absolutely serviceable. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, and the shower is comically small.
The walk from the train station is about 1 km, but the area is so beautiful. You probably will not mind."
