"Probably our worst stay in poland (we went to krakow and warsaw), the most triggering part was the water, it always has a rusty smell. No body wash, toothbrush, toothpaste provided. Pillow at its worst shape and not comfort at all. However, despite all these the staff are amazing, approachable and friendly. "Villa Carlton is a beautifully preserved 1920's building within three or four minutes walk of Zakopane town centre. The public areas of the hotel are very original and retain all the charm of that era. Our room however had been fitted out with cheap white composite wood carpentry which was a rather nasty contrast. The mattress and pillows were of very poor quality. On arrival the room was very clean, but housekeeping was minimal with towels changed once in six nights, and the bath, floors etc...
