We had beautiful large luxurious rooms looking out to sea over the beach and promenade. The staff were welcoming and efficient. The dining room is superb and clearly a favorite with locals. The staff there were very helpful recommending very good €20 wine. Food was delicious. Breakfast with Francesco and Sylvia was fun and a perfect start to the day. Fresh squeezed orange juice by Sylvia a favorite. Francesco made perfect coffee and omelets to order. We loved the bathroom and luxurious bath and separate colorful shower! We used the time to relax after touring round Sorrento and Napoli. Much to see in Lamezzia and with easy access to Tropea by train!

Expected more.
Well, the hotel was okay. Overall we expect more for the price. While the rooms were large and spacious, the hotel lacked maintenance, which included the pool having green algae growing in it which made it unusable.

Great view, friendly staff and incredible food. Rooms clean and new with comfortable beds. Hotel must have been redone recently it was like new.

My wife and I were holidaying in Calabria and intended to spend our last 3 nights in Hotel Marechiaro. Unfortunately my wife had an accident and spent 5 nights in hospital. I did inform both Hotels.com as well as Hotel Marechiaro.Because of the seriousness of my wife’s injury the hospital did not discharge her until the day before were due to fly home. Hotel Marechiaro were kept informed at all times. Although we enjoyed the hotel I was extremely disappointed in the owners when they refused to refund the 2 nights we were unable to stay. They only agreed to refund one night. I felt they were not very understanding or kind. Because of their attitude I will not recommend their hotel. Accidents happen but usually people do not take advantage.

I was supposed to check in late Sunday evening. I called the hotel to let them know I’d be later than expected (arriving around midnight or a little later) - no problem, I was told. I got to the hotel... First the address was incorrect. Wrong city/hamlet, in fact. Listed at 2.5miles away from SUF airport - it’s in fact closer to 15miles away. Didn’t matter in the end because when I arrived late the doors were locked, lobby lights off and it wasn’t clear to me how to access the hotel. I didn’t have international minutes to make outgoing calls, but I had left my cell number , which could receive incoming international calls. I would have presumed the hotel could have called me if they were going to lock up, especially after I’d called to say I was arriving late. False advertising and poor customer service. I’m counting on NOT being charged for this booking.

We would have eaten at the hotel if food was reasonable at their restaurant. Also the outside grounds could use more attention, taking out larger stones and debris. This area is always windy. if you are a surfer you are in heaven. Over all it was a good experience.

This is a BEAUTIFUL new hotel on the beach. Everything in this hotel was done with excellence! The food was wonderful, the room amazing with private balcony with ocean view. The staff are very friendly and accommodating! Can't say enough good things about this property!

Relaxing stay
Great hotel, great seafood restaurant, great staff. Will definitely be back and would recommend to all. Could be improved with the addition of a gym and more non-seafood options on menu.

Feel like royalty
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel, I came for four days to just relax and get away and hit the beach. I got it all, the rooms are spacious and clean and comfortable. Very good wifi. The bathroom just this side of luxury, spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and service was excellent. The beach and surrounding area was clean and water like a swimming pool. The hotel pool is spacious and well kept, crystal clear water. I look forward to a return visit.

Short business trip in lovely hotel
Fantastic hotel right next to the beach! Really nice building and tastefully decorated. Spotlessly clean and a wonderfully comfortable bed. Staff couldn't have been more helpful - sorted out an adaptor for me when mine wouldn't work. Breakfast was fabulous, the lovely Franco looked after me so well, insisting I try the local produce. Would love to go back and spend longer. Can't say what there is to do in the local area as I only stayed here for a night after travelling to Siderno - needed somewhere near LaMezia Terme airport. So pleased I chose this hotel rather than a standard airport hotel. It was only a 10 minute taxi ride in the morning.

Bella e rilassante struttura, ma non tutti i servizi sono adeguati ad un hotel di quattro stelle. Per esempio gli ombrelloni in spiaggia non avevano le sdraio per tutti, non c’erano extra cuscini disponibili e in camera non c’erano la macchinetta del caffè o caffè/té in bustine che solitamente sono presenti in strutture come queste. La piscina é piacevole e la colazione buona anche se il servizio è da migliorare.

ll top in zona
Tutto in questo hotel è al top, pulizia, confort, e i servizi. Unica cosa da migliorare è il parcheggio... Ci ritorno sempre con piacere anche se si fa pagare molto bene. Sicuramente il migliore in zona.

Hotel en personeel zijn heel goed. Spijtig, we hadden speciaal geboekt omdat er spa/welness en binnenzwembad was. Dit bleek ter plaatse gesloten. Wel gemeld op andere booking sites blijkbaar maar niet op deze. Daardoor was het verblijf eigenlijk duur te noemen

Hotel super propre et très spacieux. Superbes équipements mais quelques détails étranges : pas de mini bar ou de mouchoirs par exemple et les serviettes de plage payantes... Un peu isolé si on y va hors saison.

Fantastisch hotel!
Het hotel is fantastisch! Prachtige, ruime, nieuwe kamers met goede boxsprings, waardoor je heerlijk slaapt. Prachtige badkamer met douche en bad. Voldoende badhanddoeken. De kamer wordt elke dag goed schoongemaakt. Airco werkt perfect. De ligging is rustig. Het is een familiehotel, zij werken met hart en ziel om het de gasten zo aangenaam mogelijk te maken. Enkel, ze spreken Italiaans en bijna geen Engels of een andere taal. Zelf strandlakens meebrengen. Je kunt ze wel huren bij het hotel voor 3 euro. Mooi zwembad met ligstoelen. Aan de overkant, strand met gratis ligstoelen en parasols van het hotel. Heldere zee, strand van fijne kiezels. Dorpje is klein, noodzakelijkste winkels en weinig eetgelegenheden, goed is Echo Mare. Het eten in het hotel is goed. Vers gevangen vis, heerlijk. Gemakkelijkst is, om een auto te huren, om diverse plaatsen te bezoeken. Als je rust en comfort wilt is Hotel Marechiaro een aanrader!

Gefallen hat uns die Einrichtung des Hotels und vor allem Franco und seine Kollegin zum Frühstück. Sie waren sehr nett und hatten immer ein Lächeln für die Gäste übrig. Auch das restliche Personal war freundlich, hilfsbereit und bemühte sich, Anliegen zu klären. Die Lage des Hotels ist gut, wenn man einen Zwischenstopp einlegt. Für längere Aufenthalte ist ein Mietwagen zwingend erforderlich. Der Strand ist gut zu Fuß erreichbar, leider entsprechen die Internetbilder nicht den tatsächlichen Gegebenheiten vor Ort. Liegen und Sonnenschutz sind im perfekten Zustand ausreichend vorhanden. Das Wasser ist glasklar und sauber. Man muss aber wissen, dass es sich bei den kalabrischen Stränden nicht um reine, feinkörnige Sandstrände handelt und auch im Wasser teilweise nur größere, rutschige Steine liegen (z. B. in Santa Maria). Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es in Form von Minimärkten vor Ort. Wir möchten uns bei Miguel und seiner Familie ganz herzlich für den schönen Aufenthalt bedanken und wünschen Ihnen auch für die Zukunft viele zufriedene Gäste!

Hôtel.propre chambre spacieuse manque un peu de déco peut être mais bien équipée. Attention tout de même aux raves party bruyantes sur la plage le soir .... Petit déjeuner à ameliorer (oeufs brouillés froids saucisses aussi ..) Service restaurant laisse à desirer clairement .Arrivée 20h (tôt pour l Italie)...on nous presse pour la commande ...(la lassitude se voit sur le visage du serveur ...). Venus pour des oursins on nous annonce dans un 1er temps qu il n y en pas ce soir ...2 plateaux passent finalement devant nous On nous repond dans un second temps qu ils sont reservés par certains dés le matin même s ils ne sont pas sûrs de venir comme cela fut le cas pour un célèbre ex footballeur Italien (présent finalement). En revanche très très bonne impression faite par un serveur parlant couramment le francais très serviable et disponible pour toutes questions .
