"Had the most amazing stay at Villa Sama Lama!! There are only x4 villas in the lot, and it's away from the main "entrance" of the island at the port so you feel so peaceful and secluded. "Overall excellent experience. The villa is as advertised - pictured are accurate. Communication is through WhatsApp, including when they would come to clean your room, so I would say having this app is a must. We paid for the floating breakfast one morning and it was awesome. Nice place but could be a lot better
"A private bungalow with plunge pool in the centre of the island. Good location and 10-15 minutes walk from anywhere on Gili Air. Staff in the hotel were very friendly, considerate to provide earplugs for the Muslim prayers which were on and off pretty much all day and at 04.30 every morning. Room was fairly clean but there could have been more attention to detail especially the bathroom. Some of the furniture and fittings are old and need to be replaced. Breakfast when we booked via Hotels.com was stated to be included in the price, we were charged at the end of our stay and tbh it was pretty inedible. Unfortunately the manager failed to understand me when I tried to explain due to language barriers. "
