A great classic hotel that has wonderful style. Very nice size rooms and bathrooms. Right next to lots of shops, restaurants and parks.

Great Hotel and friendly staff.
This was my first time in Gijon and Hotel Hernan Cortes, I found the hotel to be very clean and peaceful, and the staff are very friendly and supportive. The rooms are comfortable and cleaned every day. Hotel Hernan Cortes is situated in the Center of Gijon making it the best hotel to stay in to explore the Gijon. I will definitely be staying here again when I next visit.

Just a little short of perfect
Perfect location , in the center of Gijón close to all amenities and the beach . Really clean and spacious , staff friendly and helpful , the only negative of the room it was really out of date!, old fashion style and decoration plus quite hard mattress

The hotel is nice but a little old fashioned, no restaurant or bar but it’s in the heart of the city so plenty of places to eat and drink so not an issue Rooms are comfortable and spacious as I took a suite

A lovely, old school hotel with simply excellent staff. It is conveniently located in the center of town so there is easy access to all amenities.

#1 for value, location, comfort and service
A fantastic historical hotel with amazing staff, quiet, comfortable, spacious rooms. Excellent location in the centre of the city easy walk to shops, bars and restaurants. The breakfast is great value and if you don't want to do the full €10 a continental breakfast is also available at half the price. I highly recommend this hotel and it is my first choice when returning to Gijon

Very nice "vintage" hotel. Lots of character. Great location. Within walking distance of most sites. Good to great price to quality relationship. Very reasonable breakfast. Public parking within a block at a discounted daily price of 10 euros. Have stayed in other hotels in Gijon in the past and will definitely return to this one.

good location
Perfect location for exploring Gijon. Everything was in walking distance, all the restaurants, beach and any attraction. Parking was available 10euro for 24 hours parking structure around corner, discounted for guest. rooms were older looking but comfortable. no complaints about that and they were very soundproofed. Customer service was good with check in as well.

Nice hotel
The hotel was very convenient for the location I was working. I can't comment too much. I arrived late and they checked me in very quickly. the room was clean and spacious with a free bottle of nice local cider to try. The next morning I went out early asking what time I was to vacate the room. They didn't mind so I eventually left at 1pm. Normally hotels want to kick you out at 11 or 12 or ask for an extra payment. If I go back, I'll definitely use this hotel and recommend it to my colleagues. Using hotel.com was so easy, I didn't see a bill, everything was done... no hassle whatsoever.

A lovely older hotel in a great location. We got a discount at the parking garage across the street and walked to everything nearby. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good and a great start to our day. The gentleman at the desk helped us with our luggage while I left to park the car. The products in the bathroom were plentiful and of good quality. Comfort and convenience are what we look for and this hotel provided both.
