The location was perfect , right by the old town shopping street lines with restaurants, 10min walk from train station and 3 minutes from cathedral. "I hate leaving negative info but for the benefit of future travelers, I have to be honest about a few items with this property: 1. It was absolutely buzzing with flies inside. There was spray and a fly swatter inside which indicates this must be a known issue to the property manager. It made our short stay very uncomfortable. 2. This is not a hot tub, it is a swedish bath. "Five star hotel at a three star price. Everything about the Mona was superb. Directions to the hotel were clear. It’s a short walk from the rail station, right on the Montreux lake walk, and 5 minutes from the ferry landing. Staff was very helpful, helped us with our luggage and provided tips and information. They provided a room upgrade without us asking or knowing. The room was very large with ample space. The view was magnificent with a large, amazing balcony. The minibar was stocked and all complimentary. The hotel restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced. Mona had unlimited coffee drinks in the lobby, so we ended the night with a hot chocolate and latte on our balcony. My only regret is I didn’t book another night or two. Next time. "
