DAKU ISLAND in SIARGAO, Philippines is one of the stops on the islands tour which includes the islands of GUYAM, NAKED and DAKU and is usually the last and furthest stop although still only about 20 mins by boat from the dock in General Luna. There are various tour operators and hotels that provide tours but it is also possible to just turn up at the dock and get a local boatman to take you for P1500 (£21.42) which saves planning ahead and also gives you the option of changing the island order to avoid bad weather or crowds for example. #BeachTips Co-ordinates: 9.74291N 126.15505E

The poolside restaurant overlooking the beach provided a nice mellow atmosphere. Prices were very reasonable. Staff were very sweet and professional. The rooms were nice with awesome shower and hot water.

Siargao is like a taxi we took the private boat because the one arranged by the hotel did mot turned up docking fee 100 php entance fee to some islands Daco island dog poo on the beach and dogs pee on the sea. overall very commercialized

Kermit is a good place for cocktails and dining. Very busy every evening though. The pier for different island boat trips is reachable within 10 min. walk down the beach from Patricks Resort. It is also worth renting a motorbike to explore the island
