"After we booked, and paid for, a room the hotel sent us a message saying (in Spanish - which I was able to translate because of a basic knowledge of the language) that the hotel was closed because of water inundation. They followed up with a shorter message simply saying that the hotel was closed. So, we had to find another hotel at short notice. The hotel should not have been listed as available."

When we told the staff, they showed up unannounced at 22:00 and just said it was safe to leave it unlocked, which didn't sit right with us. The inside felt cheap too.
