"Charming lodgings in a charming town. This was probably my favorite stay in France. The furnishings and amenities are somewhat dated, but fully functional, clean, quiet, spacious, and charming. If you leave your window open you can fall asleep to the sound of the rushing water from the creek. We had a hard time communicating when we arrived (our French was very limited, as was the receptionist's English), but that's part of the fun. I would absolutely love to come back here and stay for a few, very relaxing, days. We did not eat here, but the town had a handful of restaurants to choose from that were open for dinner, as well as a good bakery in the morning. The archeology museum is small but mighty, and be aware the museum closed for a while in the middle of the day (at least, when we were there in late October, 2026). We also loved the nearby tour of the Font de Gaume cave."

"You get what you pay. The listing was exactly what the photos showed. They do not have 24hours reception. It was very difficult to get answer from the property regarding late check-in. When they got back and they confirmed that the late check in was possible the check in process was easy."

"We love this property, Waffa the proprietor was so sweet and helpful. She helped us make reservations and the breakfast each morning was the best we’ve ever had. Don’t miss out on staying at this property if you are in the area. Also, they served us wine and appetizers in their outdoor bar near the heated pool! Quaint and delicious."

Having stayed here previously, we are consistently impressed by the standard of excellence maintained across the board. The staff is truly outstanding—attentive, highly trained, and always going above and beyond to make every guest feel warmly welcomed and well cared for. Dining at the restaurant was a highlight of our trip. The food was excellent, paired with a well-curated selection of drinks that made each meal feel special. Château Hôtel Edward never fails to deliver a memorable, high-quality experience. We look forward to returning again soon and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a flawless getaway!"

"The Chateau was amazing. The staff were the most helpful team we have ever met. Travelling with a 4-month old baby was made so easy, by their care and understanding. They just couldn't do enough for us. Thank you, everyone. Our room was very large, the sitting room was great and a big spacious bathroom for the three of us. Eating outside was magical, in the courtyard with pretty lighting candles, etc. The food was incredible. The surrounding area was very quiet and peaceful. Perfect. Thank you again, Roy and Jackie"

"A beautiful hotel situated in an old windmill, right next to the river, with amazing views. The rooms are lovely, clean and well equipped and the shower is great. All of the staff were extremely friendly, polite and helpful. Our evening meal was wonderful, as was breakfast, with a wide and varied range of excellent, fresh products. You can wander downstairs to sit by the river, passing through a room containing the workings of the old windmill, a bit like a museum, which is really interesting. There is a huge free car park, including spaces with electric charging points."
