Very convenient and easy to find. Reception not open till 5pm was inconvenient. I bought breakfast and went down at 7 as per details, but no sign of anyone or anything. Don't know what's happening there.

The photos shown in the advertising of this hotel didn’t resemble the room we stayed in, in desperate need of modernisation/repair, shower broken, handle from shower room missing, meaning if you shut the door you would not be able to get out, unless someone was in the room. Room was smelly, no lamp shades. We arrived around 10pm and after finding the hotel, which has its sign obscured by a tree, we couldn’t get in as the main gate was closed, had a intercom on the gate, only to hear a recording in French. There is a restaurant next to the hotel which we went to ask, but then noticed a side gate to the hotel, went in and managed to find someone, who opened the gate to let us drive in, checked in and the person on the desk tried to get us to pay the local tax, which we had already paid when we booked. It was late and we have had a long drive from the south of France, so just stayed, didn’t bother with breakfast as just wanted to leave. My advice do not stay at this hotel, and I don’t think it should be on the Expedia site. Definitely wasn’t worth the money we paid.

Hotel is adequate for the price but although conveniently placed near the motorway it is a 10 minute drive from town, restaurants etc. There is one restaurant next door but it doesn’t open until 7pm and the food was awful!

Not a good stay for a hot day
Obviously booked it knowing it was cheap and just for a night stay, but other 1 Star hotels have been much better. It was loud and the rooms were hot. No fans or air conditioning. Felt like a trucker hotel, didn’t feel safe to leave the ground floor window open to cool the room.

Convenient clean good value hotel
Good stopover 2 hours south of Calais . Useful for onward journey. Basic but well run franchise. Simple small but all u need in rooms. Very good continental breakfast selection. Good value. Deffoo use again.

Easily accessible from the autoroute.
Exceptionally pleasant manager. I've forgotten his name ( plays a tuber in marching band?). Nothing was too much trouble for him. He was very caring towards my wife who is disabled. As there are no lifts in the hotel he accommodated us so that it was very little effort for my wife to enjoy easy access and the comforts of the hotel. We had a nice chat with him over breakfast before moving on to the ferry port. He helped us out with our bags and we are grateful to him for the nice experience he provided. I hope the owners of "Balladins' pay him a decent wage in recognition of his attributes and obvious "bon homie'. Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Briggs.

Needed to stay somewhere close to the autoroute on a trip driving from Italy back to UK. This hotel was very basic, but clean and convenient with friendly and helpful staff. There is a restaurant next door which was handy after a long drive. Not very much in the area, so not really great for an extended visit, but fine for single night stops going elsewhere.

Affordable and practical stop over.
Needed 2 inexpensive rooms for one night. Clean, well managed and appointed. Friendly staff. Perfectly adequate breakfast. Rooms are small but we we were not looking for a "destination" hotel or a home - from - home. Ticked all the boxes.

Chose this hotel as a cheap one night option prior to cycling the Paris-Rounaix, it was a Convenient location and the restaurant next door is better than expected given the location serving good quality food.

Clean and convenient overnight stop with restaurant next door and parking right outside. Rooms are small but comfortable and towels soap provided. Good value!

IT was a quick stop on route to the Alps. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was good. The only problem was that we booked and paid for 2 rooms and when we arrived only 1 was available. We had to pay extra and go to another hotel. This was a problem with the booking site hotels.com and not the hotel as the lady at reception was very apologetic and organised another room elsewhere.

Cheap and cheerful.
Its cheap and cheerful to say the least. Even though I had my reservation printed off with me they only had one room booked out of 2. They found me another eventualy but it was disconcerting. Didnt get much sleep as its very noisy and bed is rock hard. You get what you pay for i guess.

Very convenient for the motorway. Courteous and friendly staff. Small but well presented room. We couldn't fault the hotel as a budget overnight stop.
