"Great spot for staying a night or two directly in the Nara Park. This allowed us to get up early and have basically the whole park to ourselves before the tourist groups arrive. Would definititely recommend it!
The room was nice and clean, the staff was friendly and the location was perfect."
"The staff were all very friendly and helpful, spoke English. It can be a bit loud depending on your neighbors but the room itself is so cozy and perfect. "
"Great hotel. Very close to the Nara Station and can walk down the street for dining and things to do. Room itself was fairly large compared some of our other accommodations. Room was clean and reasonably priced for 2 day stay. "
"Very nice quiet hotel that is big with good aurrounding ammenities. Would stay again! (No staff at this hotel its self check in so staff area not ranked) "
"The Shikitei is right on the edge of Nara Park - essentially it is in the park. In terms of position it couldn't be better.
It had all the comforts of a ryokan including a great onsen bath,, and wonderful staff.
I can't recommend it more highly."

"Lots of great little restaurants close by, including K-ing coffee where we had great coffee and snacks.
Nice quiet hotel and conveniently located. Helpful staff. We loved it."
"Located only a couple of blocks from the main train station, this hotel was a great pick. Incredibly clean as you must take your shoes off at the entrance and roll your luggage through water before entering the lobby, and your room. The variety of hot springs baths you can choose from and the extras, such as evening noodles, ice creams and massage chairs make this a great place for families to stay. There are a number of reasonably priced restaurants nearby along with a token Don Quijote just down the street. Also on the same road as public buses 205 and 206 which take you to the tourist attractions such as the golden Pavillon. "
"I heard APA hotels were “cheap hotels”, however this hotel was better than some in the states (US). They had laundry, they’ll hold luggage prior or after check in, they’ll forward your luggage too. Walkable to train station 10 mins. Cafe next door has better breakfast in my opinion but they’re about the same price. Curry place up the road has great food. And burger revolution nearby is a great option too. Family mart and 7- eleven are close too. I would stay again. "
